Ryan Oakes X Magnolia Park – White Flag single and video OUT NOW!

Ryan Oakes Teams Up With Magnolia Park for

“WHITE FLAG”

New Album Out in 2023 via Position Music

Alt/hip hop artist Ryan Oakes has teamed up with Epitaph Records standouts Magnolia Park for “WHITE FLAG,” a trap rap-meets-punk explosion in the vein of Linkin Park and Yungblud. The track and video come ahead of Ryan’s upcoming album, due out in 2023 via Position Music.

“I believe this song is incredibly unique and that nothings really been made like it yet,” says Ryan. “I tapped Magnolia Park to jump on the second verse and get out of their comfort zone a bit with the rapping and they absolutely nailed it.”

“Ryan asked us to hop on this track with him and we loved the sound,” adds Magnolia Park. “We loved working with him on it and can’t wait to see what he has coming next.”

With over 300 million total streams, 1 million+ monthly Spotify listeners, and 20 million+ song impressions on TikTok to date, Ryan Oakes has cemented himself in the alternative and rap music zeitgeist through his distinct brand of left-of-center punk and biting alt/hip hop.

Oakes has been played on BBC Radio One and Sirius XM (with his single “HEAVYWEIGHT” currently in rotation at Octane), and has been a mainstay on popular editorial playlists such as Spotify’s tear drop, All New Rock, All New Punk, Pop Punk’s Not Dead, The Scene, New Noise, and more. Throughout his prolific career, Oakes has collaborated with the likes of State Champs, Loveless, MOD SUN, Layto & more. He has also been championed by the likes of AltPress, Kerrang, Idobi, Rock Sound, and many others.

Earlier this year, Position Music officially announced their signing of Ryan to an exclusive worldwide record and publishing deal. Oakes joins a Position Music label roster that includes Kid Bloom, Blackway, Layto, Welshly Arms, Dead Posey, 2WEI and many more.

Ryan plans to continue to release a string of singles as he builds into his first full-length album releasing in May of 2023. For more information on Ryan and Magnolia Park, be sure to follow them at the links below.

About Magnolia Park

It’s no secret that Epitaph Records has been the breeding ground for some of the most legendary punk acts in existence and Magnolia Park carry on in that tradition with their highly anticipated debut album, ‘Baku’s Revenge’ (2022) released this fall. Since forming in Orlando, Florida, in 2019, the six-piece act—vocalist Joshua Roberts, guitarists Tristan Torres and Freddie Criales, bassist Jared Kay, drummer Joe Horsham and keyboardist Vincent Ernst—have released an EP, mixtape and handful of singles, touring with everyone from Sum 41 to A Day To Remember to bring their unique brand of pop-punk to the masses. While Magnolia Park’s music is at times lighthearted, the ethnically diverse act are also serious about spreading a message of inclusivity and inspiring other kids like them to start bands as a form of creative expression. Achieving milestones in their career with over 37 Million global catalog streams to date, 600k+ monthly Spotify listeners and 45 Million views on their viral Tik-Tok page, the band has been celebrated by outlets like Ones To WatchAlt PressAfropunkMTV News, and Brooklyn Vegan, hailed by the latter as one of the “best bands bringing the mainstream pop punk revival sound back right now.”
