ROYAL SORROW explore vulnerability and inner chaos in their gripping new single “Give In”

Give In” is ROYAL SORROW at their most exposed — a raw reflection of anxiety and emotional surrender. The song gives voice to the moments when darkness creeps in quietly and takes over completely, when giving in feels like the only way to endure. Raw and sonically intense, “Give In” balances hypnotic, low-tuned riffs with cinematic synths and a vocal performance that shifts from whispered vulnerability to visceral screams, inspired in part by Markus’s guest performance with VOLA last fall, “Give In” sees the vocalist pushing into harsher territory, adding new emotional weight to the band’s sound.

Influenced by acts like VOLA, Sleep Token, Leprous, Bad Omens or Spiritbox, ROYAL SORROW continue to deliver music designed to evoke a full spectrum of emotions — and with “Give In”, they embrace their heaviest and most dynamic form yet.

The music video, once again in collaboration with director Jaro Koho, will drop soon — offering an intense visual dimension to the world of “Give In”.

Royal Sorrow comments on this new single: “‘Give In’ portrays anxiety, embodied as dark beings that invade one’s space when at their most vulnerable. The song puts into words the feeling of helplessness, when, in our darkest moments, the only option seems to be to surrender. With ‘Give In’, Royal Sorrow strengthens their role as the messenger for feelings kept hidden inside”.

The band adds on the new single: “‘Give In’ introduces the band’s darker side, underlining their vivid range. Versatile vocals have captivated Royal Sorrow’s listeners from the very beginning, and this time, the band showcases an even broader, more intense performance. ‘Give In’ builds on hypnotizing and complex guitar riffs, while not forgetting the band’s catchy and epic essence. Screams and low-tuned guitars are contrasted by soaring melodies, energetic synths and intricate details.”
