Rock en Seine has revealed its full line up, with 38 new acts just announced!
Paris’ most anticipated music festival Rock en Seine returns this summer from August 21 to 25 at Domaine national de Saint-Cloud. In this stunning setting on the edges of Paris, five stages will host an unmissable lineup across 5 days, and today we are excited to share 38 new acts performing across the festival. These new additions complete the line-up, alongside headliner Lana Del Rey, who will open Rock en Seine on Wednesday 21 August with an incredibly special concert, her only performance in France for the entire summer of 2024, plus Fred again.., LCD Soundsystem, Måneskin, Massive Attack, PJ Harvey, The Offspring and The Smile.
On Wednesday 21 August for the exceptional Lana Del Rey show, Rock en Seine is offering, for the second year in a row, a 100% female line-up! Rori, the new face of the Belgian pop scene and the explosive Towa Bird, of whom Billie Eilish and Tyler, the Creator are fans, will open the evening. Then it will be Pomme and her stunning pop-folk style, before giving way to the immense Lana Del Rey.
From Thursday 22 until Sunday 25 August, among the new artists announced who will play on the three main stages is Kae Tempest, a specialist in spoken word as well as theater, poetry and literary fiction. Also the Londoner Venna, jazz and hip-hop saxophonist already crowned with a Grammy Award, and Sofie Royer, multi-talented artist and musician.
This year again, the Firestone scene returns with a tailor-made program: the British from the Welsh psyche-pop troupe CVC, the euphoric dance duo Joy (Anonymous), the dark crooner Loverman, and the Toronto collective New West, a revelation at the last JUNO Awards for his delicate songwriting. We can also applaud pop artists Rachel Chinouriri and Nell Mescal, BINA. with their neo-soul tinged with R&B and jazz, the young British quintet Soft Launch, the New Yorkers Monobloc, obvious heirs of the Strokes, the French Vox Low and the singer Yoa armed with her pop refrains both melancholy and luminous. Also featuring are Durry, Emily Jeffri, Aili, Dynamite Shakers, Martha Da’ro and The Scratch.
Year after year, Rock en Seine continues to position itself as a talent scout and prescriber with the programming of Club Avant Seine artists, selected by a jury made up of professionals. The future phenomena of tomorrow are probably among these: Astral Bakers, the French quartet that everyone is talking about, the Australian Merryn Jeann and her voice from another world, the electro-rock clique Rallye and their sound hybridizations, the mixed group Dog Park who demonstrate an endearing DIY spirit, the female trio Madam and their electric rock tornadoes, the captivating Nina Versyp, or Clara Kimera, leader of Agar Agar who is performing solo. Also acclaimed by the jury: the Parisian collective 135, Please, Geagea, Menades, Past Life Romeo, Bada-Bada, Lisa Ducasse, and Joe la panic.
These artists will be supported by the festival through three days of training in June and September, on specific subjects and themes (the body, health, media, etc.) to help them grow their projects as best as possible. Furthermore, three of these groups will play this summer at the English festivals All Points East and BST Hyde Park as part of Rock en Seine’s partnership with these festivals.
This new announcement closes the program for Rock en Seine 2024, which will welcome for the first time more than 90 artists spread across the festival’s 5 stages. For this years’ event, which will take place between the Olympic Games and the Paralympics, many surprises combining sport and music are also expected – see you on August 21 for 5 days of festivities!
