RITUAL RELEASE SECOND SINGLE FROM UPCOMING EP, ‘PANDEMONIUM’ |
‘“Enigma is a huge step up for Ritual” – Jerry Ewing (Prog Magazine) ‘Pandemonium’ is the second single taken from Ritual’s upcoming EP ‘Enigma’. ‘Pandemonium’ is a song that takes up an anti-theist world view. It confronts theological positions that encourage ailing followers to forgo medical advancements in favour of blind faith and prayer. The song title comes from Pandæmonium, which was the name given to the capital city of hell in Milton’s Paradise Lost. Franco, the band’s lead singer said “‘Pandemonium’ seemed a fitting way to describe that state of mind.” Ritual are an independent four piece Hard Rock / Metal band from Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom. The Funk infused rockers are influenced by a diverse range of artists and musical styles, which blends into a unique mix of anthemic metal. Pandemonium features the musical talents of the iconic Anneke van Giersbergen. The band have said “When we wrote Pandemonium, I clearly remember thinking about how much I wanted Anneke’s voice on the track” Anneke is an accomplished singer who is well known for her work with The Gathering, Devin Townsend Project and her solo career. “It was a pipe dream to have Anneke on the song and not at all realistic pre-Covid. Then, during the first lockdown, we saw a video she posted on her socials which encouraged independent acts to contact her if they wanted her to guest on their songs. We approached her about it and – to our utter amazement – she said yes and gave us a glowing appraisal of the song.” ‘Pandemonium’ was recorded and mixed by Matty Moon at Half-Ton Studios & Motherlode Studios – Cambridge – UK. Mastered by Maor Appelbaum at Maor Appelbaum Mastering – California – USA. The music video for Pandemonium was filmed and edited by Shaun Hodson of Loki Films. Pandemonium will be released on Friday 8th April Music Video ‘Pandemonium’: https://youtu.be/G7g4b3jSoos |
