Following Success Of Hit Singles ‘Big Girl Boots’ & ‘Shotgun Seat’
LONDON, U.K. – Rising UK country pop artist, Chanel Yates, today releases brand new song ‘Colourblind’ – available to stream/download here. This follows the success of viral singles ‘Big Girl Boots’ and ‘Shotgun Seat’, her first appearance at C2C Festival earlier in the year, tour dates with Caity Baser and Alexandra Kay, and major radio support including BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, Absolute Radio Country and CountryLine Radio.
On ‘Colourblind’, Chanel flips heartbreak on its head with her bold and witty lyricism : “‘Colourblind’ is for the girls who don’t get bitter, they just get better. I wrote it for anyone who’s been left thinking they weren’t enough, only to realise they were the best thing their ex ever had. It’s bold, it’s playful, and it’s all about turning heartbreak into your power. They thought the grass was greener, but they were just Colourblind”.
‘Colourblind’ – co-written with frequent collaborators Liam McCluskey and RIAA Gold-certified, #1 songwriter Mikey Gormley (Jack Garratt, Nina Nesbitt, James TW) – debuted live at Reading & Leeds Festival this August, where Chanel became the first British country artist to appear on the lineup. Last weekend she shared the stage in Newcastle with fellow British favourite Kezia Gill, introduced on stage by Whispering Bob Harris OBE.
