Today, Revelation Records announces three vinyl reissues from frenzied hardcore-punk band The Nerve Agents. Deluxe editions of 1998’s The Nerve Agents EP, 2000’s Days of the White Owl, and 2001’s The Butterfly Collection are accompanied by booklet inserts featuring never before seen photos, flyers, and more. All three albums, as well as correlating shirts, are available for preorder now through Revelation Records.
The Nerve Agents were born from the late-’90s, Bay Area Hardcore scene with vocalist Eric Ozenne, formerly of local stalwarts Unit Pride and Redemption 87, joining with Tim Presley and Andy Granelli of Model American. What resulted was a throwback sound to an era of hardcore punk not unlike early-Youth of Today, Circle Jerks, and 7 Seconds that still managed to showcase the members’ personalities and experiences, with art and lyrics reflecting on Ozenne’s time in the military with vivid references to the horrors of chemical weapons. The Nerve Agents became known for their chaotic and theatrical live performances, uniting hardcore kids, punk rockers, and goths in venues from coast to coast.
The Nerve Agents self-titled, eight song EP finds its way on vinyl the first time in over 10 years, with an expanded booklet. 2025 marks the 25th anniversary of Days Of The White Owl and is now available for the first time in a gatefold jacket wrapped in a full-color obi and includes a 20-page booklet featuring never before seen photos, flyers, and writing from fans and friends. Also included is the band’s song “Bitterseed,” which originally appeared on Sessions Records comp The Way it Should Be. Out of print since it’s original release in 2001, Revelation Records is proud to bring The Butterfly Collection back to vinyl housed in a gatefold cover with a full-color obi and 20-page booklet with updated artwork, never before seen photos and flyers, and much more.
