Midlands post-hardcore outfit Reckoner have today released their new single “Three Can Keep A Secret If Two Are Dead”. Produced by the band’s very own Ed Bramford and Dave Tidmarsh and mastered by Mike Kalajian (Bad Omens, Saosin, Periphery) the track brims with tension, weaving a tale of trust, betrayal, and moral compromise.
Drawing inspiration from Sam Raimi’s 1998 thriller A Simple Plan, Reckoner explore the fragility of friendship under pressure. The refrain “How far down this road do we go, before the cracks in the tarmac begin to show” captures a world where secrets fester, loyalties fracture, and deceit corrodes the foundations of trust.
Speaking of the new single, Reckoner share, “‘Three Can Keep A Secret If Two Are Dead’ asks the hard question – how much can you trust even your closest of friends? The robotic chant of “Anxious, paranoid, faltering, destroy” sets an introspective tone before the song explodes into a violent & impactful intro.”
