Luxembourg-based atmospheric doom-rock project Ptolemea will release their brand-new full-length album Kali on November 6, 2025 via Raging Planet Records. Led by Priscila Da Costa, the commanding voice of Portuguese doom collective Sinistro, Ptolemea weave crushing, doom-laden riffs with haunting vocals and cinematic textures. Their second full-length, and first for Raging Planet, Kali marks a new level of artistic maturity, plunging into darker, more introspective depths while remaining both devastating and transcendent. As a first glimpse, Everything Is Noise has premiered the video for the lead single “Guilhotina”, praising it as: “a confident slab of doom… Shot in stark black and white, visually the video emulates the darkened energy of the song, with Costa’s powerful vocals soaring over the minor key dirge of the music. At times, Ptolemea conjures up early Paradise Lost.” Watch the “Guilhotina” video premiere now at Everything Is Noise! Priscila adds: “With ‘Guilhotina’ I started to cut the cords that kept me stuck. It captures that fragile moment between ‘what the fuck am I doing’ and the deep knowing that something better is waiting.” And this is only the beginning, in Spring 2026, Ptolemea will embark on an extensive European tour alongside folk-doom collective Sangre De Muerdago. |
