PROTECT YOUR HEART RELEASE DEBUT LP [RE]INTRODUCTION
Los Angeles’ Protect Your Heart have released their highly anticipated debut LP [re]introduction across streaming platforms.
What started as a weekend getaway to the final Vans Warped Tour, ended in a three-year journey through writing, recording, and producing a cathartic must-hear release of 2022. Since finalizing their core lineup, Protect Your Heart have released nine well-received singles, including seven official music videos, in anticipation of the LP. Fusing a nostalgic “pop punk with breakdowns” sound with modern production and a DIY attitude, Protect Your Heart are the next big thing to come out of the easycore scene.
[re]introduction consists of 13 tracks, each showcasing the band’s innate ability to deliver massive hooks, driving pop punk instrumentals, and high-energy anthemic choruses. Sonically, fans of classic albums as A Day To Remember’s Homesick will find a nostalgic connection to [re]introduction, while fans of Silverstein’s A Beautiful Place To Drown will appreciate the modern production nuances—each influences behind the LP.
“Throughout this album, you will experience emotionally-charged moments of catharsis, high-energy feel good anthems, and head-banging breakdowns,” says guitarist Kean Bartelman. “Ultimately, this album is a quintessential reflection of the members themselves—their passions, their experiences, and their desire to create something meaningful.”
This album IS PROTECT YOUR HEART. This is their [re]INTRODUCTION.

ABOUT PROTECT YOUR HEART
Meeting through California’s vibrant dance music community, longtime friends and producers Jake Bratrude (Rudebrat, Jacob Lethal Beats, Darkk Matter, An Error Occurred), Anthony Palazzole (not sorry, Them Lost Boys), and Kean Bartelman (Wild Boyz!) decided to take on a new challenge—dust off their guitars, and get back to their roots. In February 2020, a chance phone call with Matty McDonald (Beta State, Ashcroft) would help PYH solidify their core roster—adding the vocalist to the fold after years of writing without one.
At the outset, PYH was nothing more than a concept. An idea. A passion project, born of a desire to find a more fulfilling creative outlet. The ultimate goal: to create the heaviest pop music possible, while challenging the group’s decades-long production prowess. What was intended to be a three-song pop-punk experiment in 2018, ultimately spiralled into weekly writing sessions, 50+ demos, and eventually, their debut LP—[re]Introduction.
