Connecticut’s In 2 Again are channeling early 2000’s post-hardcore built on enticing riffs and dynamic scream-sung vocals. Sharing members with bands including Balmora and Kidnapped, In 2 Again debuted in 2024 with the It’s All Red To Me EP and quickly began playing shows in the northeast. Today, the band announce their upcoming Coins, Currency, Tokens, and Other Related Objects EP set for release May 8th on DAZE.
Having teased with early single “Shed Hunting,” In 2 Again now deliver “Our Disease Is Dressed To The Nines.” Sonic influences comes from a time when post-hardcore bands we’re lumped into nu-metal, drawing from acts such as Glassjaw, Snapcase, and early Incubus. Vocalist Jay Torblaa’s high-pitched voice rivals Palumbo’s and Boyd’s, accented by sarcastically delivered lines and palpable hooks. Anthony DiDio (Fleshwater / Vein.fm) lends his signature vocals, as the band carries the track through heavy groove and dynamic tension. Stream it HERE.
On the song, guitarist Kyle Hill shares:
“If the EP had a title track, this would have been it. The song is about making fun of humans contentment with being generally awful to each other and our planet – a critique on our path to destruction.”
Coins, Currency, Tokens, and Other Related Objects EP was recorded, mixed, and mastered by drummer and producer Chris Torok at The Source in New Haven, CT.
Preorder the CD including both In 2 Again EPs now through DAZE and cassette through Takedown Records.
