Today, Connecticut / Pennsylvania-based post-hardcore band En Masse share their new single “taketwo.” The track serves as the third preview from their upcoming newviolenttrends EP, set for release June 20th on Fever Ltd. (Heavenward, Fly Over States). On “taketwo” the band create a lush atmosphere, built through ethereal moments, dynamic rhythms and moody vocals. The video for the song, directed and edited by Juan Aguilar, follows a story of mania and identity strewn between performance clips of the band. Watch it HERE and stream the track HERE.
For En Masse, the goal was always to write music that’s fun and reminiscent of what they’d want to listen to. Channeling bands like Glassjaw and Deftones, while mixing in influences from Depeche Mode and The Cure proved the perfect formula. Mixed and mastered by Adam Cichocki (Gatherers, ASkySoBlack, Casey), the four songs on newviolenttrends are aggressive, impactful, and infectious.
“If there’s anything I’d want someone to feel while listening to this EP, it’s a sense of urgency,” shares vocalist Zack Santiago. “Ultimately, it’s about finding balance within yourself and embracing the autonomy you have in a seemingly hostile world.”
newviolenttrends is available for CD preorder now through Fever Ltd. and you can find the artwork and tracklist below.
