Powerful collectivity rings through Easier Said Than Done — in the dynamic interplay between Christine Goodwyne and Anaya’s guitars, in Nicole Alvarez’s gravitational basslines, in Caden Clinton’s whirling drum patterns. Pool Kids lock together into a unified force, propelling themselves forward into hard-won release. Easier Said Than Done impresses one of the most important reminders anyone can hear: You don’t have to do anything in this world alone.

Originally recorded in a friend’s kitchen, their debut album, 2018’s Music to Practice Safe Sex To earned a fan in Paramore’s Hayley Williams. Pool Kids’ 2022 self-titled record netted wide critical acclaim with its lush, high-contrast mixture of pop, emo, and math rock. Over the past few years they’ve shared stages with Soccer Mommy, Joyce Manor, Beach Bunny, and La Dispute. Throughout their rapid artistic growth, they’ve held fast to the principles of their DIY origins and have earned over 30 Million global streams across their catalog. At their shows, they hammer home the message that anyone can do what Pool Kids do. Anyone can start a band. Anyone can make a record. Everyone deserves to chase their dream.

ACCLAIM FOR ‘EASIER SAID THAN DONE’

“Easier Said Than Done brilliantly captures Pool Kids’ live energy.” – UPROXX

“The Tallahassee group crams hooks, angst, rumination, and studio wizardry into its debut album for Epitaph, with denser, darker songs that still make space for irreverence.” – Pitchfork

“The four-piece’s canny blend of melodicism and trenchant phrasing is the perfect kind of pairing, one that has practically launched them to the upper echelons of contemporary emo that also places them in the well-respected world of indie rock.”  Paste Magazine

“The record sees Pool Kids continuing with their distinct brand of emotional, bombastic and musically deft pop punk, proving them to be one of the most consistent emo bands working today.” – The Needle Drop

“Pool Kids’ third album (and Epitaph) debut is their poppiest yet, but it’s also their most musically-varied, with folky songs, indie balladry, ’90s-style alt-rock, and no lack of that signature Pool Kids flair.” – Brooklyn Vegan
