Paleface Swiss – Credit Adam Chandler It hasn’t been long since PALEFACE SWISS kicked off 2025 with their breakthrough album “Cursed”, shortly followed by “CURSED – The Complete Edition” including the brand-new track “I Am A Cursed One.” Now, after a successful and diverse year across Europe, the U.S., Australia, and Mexico, the band is already back with their next track. Following more than 35,000 tickets sold in the U.S., it almost seemed inevitable that between Swiss cheese and American buns, the next step would be a massive European tour spanning from Ireland to Spain, once again together with Stick To Your Guns. During their joint U.S. tour, Zelli and Jesse Barnett took the chance to sit down and write a song together. That song became ‘Instrument Of War’, recorded in the studio alongside manager and producer Marco Bayati. Longtime friend Florent Salfati (Landmvrks) added his touch on the mix, giving the track the signature PALEFACE SWISS punch. The result is a single that perfectly fuses the Zelliverse with Jesse Barnett’s unmistakable voice. The creative energy shared between the two bands demanded a visual counterpart, which resulted in the accompanying video. Watch the ‘Instrument Of War’ video HERE. Stream ‘Instrument Of War’ HERE. The title ‘Instrument Of War’ was inspired by a Pablo Picasso quote that Jesse Barnett shared with the band during tour: “No, painting is not done to decorate apartments. It is an instrument of war for attack and defense against the enemy.” This quote became the foundation of a cohesive concept of song and video, brought to life by the band’s manager and director Kriss Jakob. The track also carries a strong charity message: 100% of the proceeds will be donated to charitable causes. Zelli and Jesse commented: “We both felt like we related to this quote. Our music isn’t just some shit to put on in the background. It’s something real that comes from a real place and it’s meant to attack the things that divide us and defend all the things that bring us together.” In keeping with the ethos of the track’s inspiration, 100% of proceeds from “Instrument of War” will be donated to Doctors Without Borders, supporting their emergency medical work in conflict zones around the world. Zelli and Jesse continue “Paleface Swiss has generally avoided taking explicit political positions—especially given how complex things are today. But Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) provides care to people affected by conflict, disease outbreaks, natural and human-made disasters, and mental health crises. That kind of direct, human-first action is something we deeply respect.” “That said, both Stick To Your Guns and Paleface Swiss share clear values. As we mentioned, we stand for what’s right—whether that means supporting mental health (a core focus for Paleface Swiss) or speaking out against oppression and violence. For those who know our bands, this song already carries those messages. That’s why it felt like the right vehicle for something bigger—and why it made sense to use it to give back.” |
