Oslo-based hardcore outfit TRUEANDTRUE will release their debut album NOSEDIVE on May 29th. A fierce, uncompromising record that proves the band as one of the most vital and unpredictable voices in contemporary heavy music.
On NOSEDIVE the band abandons their push-and-pull dynamic in favor of something immediate, fierce and overwhelming. A shift towards pure intensity. This is TRUEANDTRUE at full force, leaning into chaos, urgency, and total emotional exposure, rarely offering the listener a way out.
Across its ten tracks, NOSEDIVE dives into themes of self-worth, belonging and grief. The lyrics tell stories of a character caught between the need to feel and the pressure to suppress, shaped by cycles of loss, religion, and the slow collapse of identity. Together, these themes form a record that refuses closure, instead pushing deeper into instability, where control and collapse exist in constant collision.
The first singles from the album, prayin’ with the boys and the director’s cut further expanded TRUEANDTRUE’s reach, landing on curated Apple Music playlists and being highlighted by Stereogum as notable weekly releases.
NOSEDIVE also features contributions from Johan Hansson Liljeberg of Honningbarna, fellow Oslo hardcore band Feral Nature, and saxophonist Lars Meen. These additions expand the album’s sonic range without softening its impact, adding further texture to an already volatile sound. The result is a debut that establishes TRUEANDTRUE as a defining new voice in heavy music.
