Thursday 10 August – Oscar Lang has shared a self-directed video for ‘Leave Me Alone’. The release is in line with the first date of his UK headline tour which kicks off in Manchester tonight. The tour ends at Green Man Festival.
Oscar talks about the video –
“I wanted the music video for ‘Leave Me Alone’ to tell the song’s story about a feeling we all know too well. It follows a girl as she has the worst night out, made worse by the ever-looming presence of the character of death following her around before, finally, everyone leaves her alone. It was my first time directing my own music video, and it was a very satisfying process seeing what you can see in your mind come to life.”
The track is taken from Oscar’s brilliant new album ‘Look Now’, a spellbinding record that takes a deep look at break ups, anxiety and loss. His most personal batch of songs, it firmly establishes Oscar as one of the most exciting new songwriters around. Released on Dirty Hit, it features previous single ‘A Song About Me’, ‘Everything Unspoken’, ‘One Foot First’ and ‘On God’.
