London producer and DJ Oscar Farrell today releases his brand new EP ‘Birds Fly In’ via dh2 – a six-track collection that captures a period of rapid growth for one of the capital’s most exciting emerging electronic artists.
Arriving after a run of increasingly ambitious singles, Birds Fly In brings together the different worlds Farrell has been building over the last year. From the bass-led pulse of ‘Burning From’ featuring Brooklyn-born, London-based artist Goya Gumbani, through to the euphoric rush of new track ‘Don’t Play With Me’, <LINK> the EP finds Farrell pushing further into both collaborative songwriting and peak-time club music without losing the emotional detail that has become a hallmark of his work.
While previous releases often explored more introspective territory, his new EP ‘Birds Fly In’ feels broader in scope – moving fluidly between club music, rap and spoken word, and more emotionally-driven electronic production. Across the EP, warm melodies, weightless vocal fragments and club-focused rhythms sit alongside a growing confidence as both producer and DJ.

The release lands at the culmination of a breakthrough period for Farrell. Alongside shows at Village Underground, Public Records in New York and many more appearances across London, Los Angeles and beyond, he has steadily established himself as a key figure within a new generation of UK electronic artists.
That momentum has continued into the summer. Last month Farrell joined George Daniel for a special back-to-back performance on the dh2 stage at Gala Festival, featuring a guest appearance from Jeshi, before travelling to Barcelona for the label’s pre-Primavera party earlier this week. The run of live dates continues later this summer with a newly-announced appearance at LIDO Festival in London on August 31st.
Since first emerging with his debut EP I’ve Already Called, Oscar Farrell has consistently blurred the lines between producer, DJ and collaborator. With Birds Fly In, that vision comes fully into focus – a project that captures where he has arrived, while hinting at where he might go next.
