Ondt Blod – Norwegian Hardcore Unit Return With New Music Video For “AUX”

After seven years of silence, Ondt Blod are back in explosive fashion. The Kirkenes-born hardcore outfit known for their raw energy and Northern Norwegian dialect have released their brand-new single “AUX”, with the official video premiering at IDIOTEQ.

“AUX” is classic Ondt Blod at full power with raging verses, a punchy, unforgettable chorus, and enough Northern attitude to melt a snowmobile track.

The band describes the song as a shout-out and thank you to friends and enemies, to industry losers and the authorities in Oslo. At its core, “AUX” is a song about leaving the capital behind with zero nostalgia: “A song about throwing a match over your shoulder and moving away from Oslo.”

Produced by Yngve Andersen (Blood Command) and mixed/mastered by Simon Jackman, the song is the first taste of Ondt Blod’s upcoming album Bauta, set for release on March 13 via Playground Music.

Straight from the gut and straight from the heart, Ondt Blod blend furious hardcore with catchy rock hooks, all delivered in their own Northern Norwegian dialect. Their songs swing between: political oppression, racism and everyday struggles, proud northern traditions like homemade booze and snowmobiles, a healthy grudge against everything south of Saltfjellet.

Full of northern Norwegian defiance and Sámi pride, the band have earned ecstatic praise, a Spellemann nomination, and extensive tours across Norway, Europe, and Japan.

Ondt Blod has been active since 2013 and consists of: Aslak Heika Hætta Bjørn on vocals, Håvard Sotkajærvi Rushfeldt on drums, Jørgen Store Johansen on bass, Alexander Mortensen on guitar and John Nilsen on guitar.
