Today, reigning 8-time Academy of Country Music and 7-time Country Music Association “Group of the Year” Old Dominion has released “Miss You Man, the latest release off their highly anticipated sixth studio album Barbara, out August 22nd.

“Miss You Man” was written as a tribute to friend of the band and songwriter Andrew Dorff, who passed away in 2016. A heartfelt ballad featuring frontman Matthew Ramsey’s tender vocals, layered with steady percussion and subtly powerful guitar riffs, the track reminisces on some of the band’s favorite memories with Dorff and the lasting mark he left on their lives. “Miss You Man” captures the quiet ways we carry those we’ve lost, offering a heartfelt tribute to lasting friendship and the enduring impact of someone gone too soon. Alongside the track, the band released a brand new music video in Dorff’s memory.

“Some years ago, we lost our dear friend Andrew Dorff far too soon,” Ramsey said. “We play songs we’ve written with him every night on stage. When you hear our music, many times you are also hearing the voice of Andrew. There is a saying – grief is the price of love. We all experience that loss at some point and we carry that love as we go through that process, in some ways, for the rest of our lives. Miss You Man is a tribute to grief, friendship, and love.”

Old Dominion’s sixth album, Barbara, out August 22, is a 13-track journey that blends their signature melodic, guitar-driven sound with deeper reflections on life, love, and mortality. Known for crafting unforgettable hooks, the band leans into more mature themes without losing their optimistic spirit, exploring the highs and lows of life with honesty and heart in what the band calls their “most personal album to date.”

Alongside the album, Old Dominion recently kicked off their massive How Good Is That – World Tour, visiting amphitheaters and arenas nationwide throughout the summer and fall. With a setlist blending new tracks from Barbara alongside fan favorites, the band promises an unforgettable live experience. Check out the full tour routing below! Old Dominion are currently the reigning 8X Academy of Country Music and 7X Country Music Association “Group of the Year.” The band earned their 7th successive win for “Vocal Group of the Year” at the 2024 CMA Awards, breaking the record for most consecutive Vocal Group Award wins in CMA history. To celebrate this historic feat, the band performed a seven-show residency at Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium this February, raising more than $1.25M for seven charities the band has been actively engaged with over their career. Most recently, Old Dominion took home their historic 8th consecutive “Group of the Year” win at the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards, breaking the records for both all-time and most consecutive wins in the category.
