| October Drift have announced they will play their final shows this winter as they call time on an acclaimed career with three final headline dates which will draw the curtain in a celebration of their highly praised 10 years as a band. October Drift broke the news of the closure of the band to fans in a statement last week and now announcing The Farewell Tour they add, “It felt important to us to finish this chapter joyously – a massive celebration of everything we’ve been privileged enough to do over the last 10 years. A huge farewell party basically. The community that has organically built around our band has been nothing short of amazing – these shows will be the send off it deserves.” Physical Education Recordings add, “We signed October Drift on the back of their stunning live performances on tour with Editors. Since then we’ve released three albums we are proud of and built a wonderful, dedicated team who all believe in them as much as we do. The boys have worked so hard through a challenging landscape for bands and we want to thank Alex, Chris, Dan & Kiran for letting us share the journey.” October Drift are performing a number of summer festivals ahead of their farewell tour this winter. All of the shows promise to be a powerful celebration of their acclaimed catalogue of propulsive, emotive and thought-provoking alternative rock. Songs from their albums Forever Whatever, I Don’t Belong Anywhere, Blame The Young and more will be delivered in their uncompromising live shows of fierce energy which are held in the highest regard as noted by the likes of Louder Than War who recently dubbed them “One of the best live bands in the country”.
