Ocean Planet forges an immersive sonic experience – a collision of atmospheric textures, precise rhythmic complexity, and relentless energy.
Formed in 2008 in Reading, Berkshire, initially as an instrumental project conceived by Khi MacLeod, the band draws influence from Meshuggah, Tesseract, Gojira and Periphery, while carving a unique path through layered harmonies, and ambient soundscapes.
Known for their powerful live performances and conceptual
song-writing, Ocean Planet’s music is both cerebral and visceral – a blend of melody and controlled chaos that speaks to fans of forward-thinking metal and timeless storytelling.

Previous single release ‘Devastate’ increased the band’s visibility with global airplay and favourable reviews with the likes of Total Rock, BSBTV, Rock Radio UK and Radio Wigwam all supporting their radio campaign!
New single ‘Siege Machine’ will be released 20/2/26
at 00:00 GMT across all streaming platforms.

“Siege Machine takes place at the end of the album as a conclusion to the Immersion story. The lyrics follow the journey of a machine created by man as the final hope, to engage the Nephilim, an otherworldly being sent by gods to erase humanity. Prior to being destroyed and thrown to the sea by the Nephilim as a prototype, it is reborn as the Siege Machine by the earth’s spirit itself as an act of defiance – becoming something more evolved and conscious. Rising again from the oceanic abyss it was cast into, finally defeating the Nephilim exacting revenge for itself, and stating the rejection of outer gods meddling in humanity”.

Production: Khi MacLeod

Siege Machine, like the rest of the album, has been through a 10 year refinement process. From structure to production, we are proud to finally have it released and finished. As Ocean Planet stopped and started due to constant line up changes, all of these songs matured. All production and instrumentation was live and done by Khi at the time, while the vocals were performed by Rob, with a special guest feature on clean vocals by Keller Maxwell of the band THEORIST. Siege Machine, like the rest of the material, was home recorded, with the amount of layers and ambience overlaying this song balancing the entire sound was both incredibly hard and rewarding.
