Coming straight out of Queens with a captivating mix of modern rock and a hint of vintage guitar, NYC based outfit King Falcon has released their self-titled debut albumout now via Mascot Records. Showcasing an exhilarating blend of indie-rock adventurousness and Classic Rock swagger, King Falcon’s songwriting recalls artists like Black Keys, Jack White, Cage the Elephant, The Strokes, Royal Blood, and The Killers.

To celebrate the release, King Falcon has released a music video for their latest single “Everybody’s Down,” a sugar rush of anthems and strutting riff-based indie rock. The song’s catchy, feel-good vibes and empowering lyrics form the foundation of the new album. “That song’s message is sort of the foundation for the album of being this outcast person always looking for somewhere to be comfortable,” frontman Michael Rubin explains. Dive into the music video for “Everybody’s Down” and stream King Falcon on all digital platforms HERE.

Additional album standouts include “Ready Set Go,” “Cadillac,” and “Rabbit Gets The Gun,” all of which have captured significant attention. Embodying the bustling essence and urban vibes of King Falcon’s hometown, “Ready Set Go” even clinched an impressive #5 spot on the US Submodern Singles Chart. The music video for “Cadillac” offers a visual spectacle, echoing the adventures of Ferris Bueller and featuring a striking red 1957 Eldorado Cadillac, while the most recent single “Rabbit Gets The Gun” is a celebration of outcasts and underdogs.

Drenched in garage guitar sounds, captivating pop choruses, soulful melodic lead vocals, and immersive indie-rock tones, the album narrates a tale of camaraderie, self-discovery, and the pursuit of rock n’ roll dreams. The exceptional production by Marshall Altman and mixing prowess of the 12-time Grammy-nominated Mark Needham ensures a listening experience like no other.

As teenagers, Michael and James Terranova from King Falcon were no strangers to the music scene, having started their journey playing in a band known as The Inoculated Canaries. Drawing inspiration from various genres such as Classic Rock, Pop, and Ska, the duo toured extensively around the Tri-State area, showcasing their original compositions. Their dedication even took them to prominent platforms like the SXSW conference in Austin and the 2020 NAMM convention in Anaheim, CA. The two were later joined by their close friend, Tom Diognardi, on drums, marking the evolution of their musical path.

Recounting his path to music, Michael recalls his initial tryst with Guitar Hero. “My dad would often joke, ‘you spend so much time in front of the TV with that game, why not learn the real guitar?'” With the addition of Tom as the drummer, James transitioning from drums to bass, and the profound influence of their early hit “Shake! Shake! Shake!,” King Falcon was born. The pandemic may have put a temporary hold on their debut show, but their perseverance shone through with the single “When The Party Is Over,” securing them a recording contract with Mascot Records.
