*L.S. DUNES TOUR On sale Friday 16th Dec at 10am tickets here Seven years in the making, the bands new album No Oblivion, sees the band gift us their most personal album to date. Recorded, produced/mixed by Richardson, the album follows a string of extremely unfortunate events after the release of 2015’s Permanence. Together, the members reimagined the project as a private vault where they could store some of their most personal experiences and sounds. That is… until now. What they’ve spent years creating solely for one another and the joy of the process is now No Oblivion, and the resulting record is a blinding feat––its songs are deeply-rich in texture, innovative in form, and full of pain. No Devotions album “No Oblivion” is out now. No Devotion info:
Permanence, the band’s brilliant debut album, was released on September 25, 2015 to near-universal acclaim and heavy BBC1 radio airplay. That same week, their singer Geoff Rickly (Thursday) was mugged and hospitalised on tour in Germany, the band’s record label collapsed, and they barely made it through the remainder of the scheduled dates. Nearly a year later, Kerrang! awarded Permanence its Album of the Year––a strange omen for the members of No Devotion at the time but a foreshadow of the brilliant resurrection to come. |
