Nik Nocturnal & Will Ramos PERFECT Chelsea Grin’s “Recreant” with new cover video+song; more revitalized Deathcore classics coming soon

With almost 580,000 YouTube subscribers and 75,000 followers on Twitch, Nik Nocturnal is bringing metal to the masses. Known for his reactions and other music-related content, today, Nocturnal teams up with Will Ramos (Lorna Shore) to perfect the first of many Deathcore classics: Chelsea Grin’s “Recreant” – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LuGVX1-K8Y

Nocturnal comments: “I love a lot of early 2000’s Deathcore/Metalcore tracks, so I thought – why not give them a well-deserved facelift with the craziest demon noisemaker I know (Will Ramos) and a smashing modern mix/master (Ashtone Productions – Darko, Kingdom Of Giants, Spite) to bring new life to these classics bangers.”

Ramos adds: “The Deathcore scene is coming back, and we wanted to bring some life to a classic that may have been forgotten.”

Nocturnal and Ramos are currently hard at work, revitalizing additional songs. Be sure to follow Nocturnal on Spotify for his latest collaborations and original music: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1Gc5ZiJhqjQQcfvMTSCa3q

About Nik Nocturnal

Since launching his YouTube channel in 2014, Nik Nocturnal has worked tirelessly on content, bringing his idiosyncratic and passionate take on metal to everything that he does, making it clear that the music matters to him – and his irreverent sense of humor does not hurt. “It started out as a means of finding ways to share my music as a solo musician that accidentally made me fall in love with content creation and building a community,” he explains. “I’m basically providing unique perspectives/takes on the metal scene and music, while actually having a proper background in this music and the industry.”

Taking four or five years to build up a substantial following on YouTube, he gained a favorable reputation amongst fans and artists alike – which led to creating a Twitch channel in 2020. This opened up a whole new avenue for interacting with the community, where Nocturnal could invite the bands that he was supporting to be involved with his content too. Amongst these, some of his personal highlights include Matt Tuck (Bullet For My Valentine), Nick Hipa (Mire, As I Lay Dying, Wovenwar), Howard Jones & Jared Dines (Sion, Killswitch Engage, Light The Torch), Phil Bozeman (Whitechapel), Matt Heafy (Trivium, Ibaraki) and Jacoby Shaddix (Papa Roach). “It’s an amazing feeling to get respect from people I looked up to when I was a kid, especially because I didn’t make it here through traditional band routes.”

Nocturnal is also consistently working on collaborations with artists, including a 2000’s-Metalcore-style release with Phil Labonte (All That Remains), a Trap Metal project with producer deadwait (Corpse’s producer), and even covers of classic Deathcore songs with Will Ramos (Lorna Shore). At the same time, Nocturnal has his own band, Termina, in which he plays all the instruments and Andy Cizek (Monuments, Makari, WVNDER) provides the vocals.
