“A masterful meld of goth aesthetic, ethereal synth, eerie atmospherics and layered instrumentation, Zetra have gone from stylistic outliers with their 2020 debut, to alt torchbearers in the present day.” – Knotfest

With just over a month until the release of ZETRA‘s self-titled debut album, out September 13th via Nuclear Blast Records, the enigmatic duo have revealed their latest single “Suffer Eternally.” The track opens the record, setting the tone for ZETRA’s superlunary shoegaze, and features backing vocals from Graywave’s Jess Webberley. It delivers with a haunting, gore driven video directed and edited by Harry Steel (Heriot, Creeper).

The video arrives alongside a message from ZETRA that reads:

“Believers come forth.

Bathe in holy light.

We are dragged kicking and screaming into this world.

Fated to fall into a cycle that never ends.

We were born to suffer,

Eternally.”

You can watch the video HERE and stream “Suffer Eternally” HERE.

Zetra will head to North America for the first time this Fall to perform for inquisitive audiences on tour supporting Zeal & Ardor and Gaerea. Before that the duo will embark on a European run supporting HEALTH in October. Full dates below.

Emerging from the blackest corners of the UK underground in 2020, ZETRA is lead by two figures – The Wanderers. Vocals, synthesizer, guitar, and drum-machine encompass lush landscapes through the band’s journey, leading to their self-titled full-length. Metallic bones meet dreamy, droning guitars that hark to heroes like Slowdive and Sonic Youth as well as dark contemporaries Deafheaven and Alcest. The album serves as a roadmap, a dark gospel – unpicking all manner of psychological knots and existential truths.

ZETRA is available for preorder now through Nuclear Blast Records.
