Wild Fields, a new socially conscious four day festival showcasing music from across the genre spectrum, is set to take place in the beautiful surrounds of the Raynham Estate in North Norfolk between 15th – 18th August 2024.

From the team behind the Norwich-based multi-venue festival Wild Paths, the family-friendly Wild Fields Festival will pair music with woodland dining, immersive performances and wellness experiences, highlighting groundbreaking new acts alongside established names, hosting stage takeovers and collaborating with regional and national partners.

Today the festival announces its first wave of artists. Headlining the inaugural festival on Friday night will be the Mercury Music Prize-winning jazz quintet Ezra Collective whose 2022 award-winning album Where I’m Meant To Be is a thumping celebration of life, marrying cool confidence with bright energy, full of call-and-response conversations between their ensemble parts, a natural product of years improvising together on-stage. Saturday night will see a very special guest headlining, with details TBA. Experimental pop pioneer and producer, SBTRKT brings his spectacular new live show in a rare live performance as Sunday’s headlining act, following the release of his acclaimed third studio album – his first in 9 years – The Rat Road. His blend of garage, house and experimental pop will be heard emanating from the beautiful Meadows Stage as the sun dips.

The festival will open on Thursday evening with a series of shows from emerging artists including the hotly tipped fiery Brighton punks Lambrini Girls, whose raison d’être is to create safe spaces at shows.

Friday will see performances from acts including the mysterious four-piece FIZZ, recently revealed as the collective of beloved musicians and friends: dodie, Orla Gartland, Greta Isaac and Martin Luke Brown. Emerging London jazz star Oscar Jerome will bring the addictive musicality of his last album, 2022’s The Spoon. Rapper Jeshi’s distinctive social commentary and personal storytelling style will be brought on Friday, alongside Brighton indie four-piece Lime Garden who will showcase their self-described brand of ‘wonk pop’, blending together influences of disco, pop, and surf. After releasing her second studio album, DREAMER, earlier this year, Nabihah Iqbal’s impeccable indie and experimental tracks will be on full display.

Saturday night will bring exciting sets from West Midlands DJ Yung Singh, BBC Sound 2022 shortlisted singer-songwriter Priya Ragu, East London musical collective championing unity, The Silhouettes Project, as well as acclaimed indie singer-songwriter Bess Atwell and the Nottingham-based hotly tipped four-piece, Divorce.

On Sunday, Los Bitchos, the London-based internationally assembled female instrumental four-piece, and undeniably one of the breakthrough bands of last year, will bring their irresistible Latin rhythms, disco and Turkish psych-rock party to Norfolk. Other artists include Reuben James with his musical mastery of genres from soul and RnB, jazz, pop, reggae and more, and London’s post-punk electronic trio MadMadMad, who amalgamate their sounds of no wave, post-punk and disco to entice you to the dancefloor. For late-night revellers there’s the legendary British DJ Nightmares on Wax who channels nightclub experiences teeming with basement-party sounds on his latest release, “CLUB E.A.S.E”.

The festival will also include performances from local Norfolk artists including Maya Law, Sam Eagle, Kitty Perrin, SUDS, and I.AM.AFIYA.

More line-up details for Wild Fields Festival 2024 to come soon.

The festival’s official charity partner is Climate Live, a youth-led climate education movement which uses music to engage, educate and empower.

Speaking of the event, festival director Ben Street said:

“Wild Fields will be a truly unique event with a varied and progressive musical line-up paired with renowned wellness practitioners, festival banquets and immersive performance. From dawn to dusk and deep, deep into the night there’ll be a plethora of ground-breaking bands and DJs to keep even the most seasoned festival reveller entertained and inspired.

We’re so happy to have found such a beautiful site as Raynham with its historic walled gardens, secret wooded paths and lush wild meadows. The Raynham team share our vision for delivering a groundbreaking new festival in the region and bringing some world renowned artists, performers and practitioners to this stunning stretch of North Norfolk.

I was born and raised in Norfolk and spent a number of long summers up at the North Norfolk coast, so it’s so nice to be able to bring something like Wild Fields to the region.

We’ve always looked to cultivate a sense of inclusivity, providing safe spaces on site and opportunities for women, ethnic minorities and LGBTQ+ performers. As proud signatories of the 50/50 Key change Pledge we’re committed to shifting the tide within the events industry and providing platforms for a truly diverse range of festival performers.

Wild Paths is moving out to the countryside and we’re bringing our favourite bands and DJs, some amazing wellness practitioners, chefs, immersive performers and so much more… and everyone’s invited!”
