West Coast Wolves Unleash New Single “Travelers” – A Sonic Journey Through Folk, Punk, Rock And Reggae
Cape Town’s very own West Coast Wolves are back with a captivating new single, “Travelers” out now on Mongrel Records. This latest release showcases the band’s evolution from a humble 2-piece acoustic guitar duo to a dynamic 5-piece ensemble, blending their signature West Coast flavour with elements of folk, country, bluegrass, rock n’ roll, punk rock reggae, surfpunk, and left-field percussion.

“Travelers,” the latest addition to their repertoire, delves into the personal journey of separation and self-discovery. Written by the band’s frontman, the song narrates the story of a father leaving the family, embarking on a new path. The poignant lyrics, combined with the infectious melody, create an emotional journey.

Reflecting on the origins of “Travelers,” the band shares, “The line ‘don’t stop me moving’ was the message we were left with, but somehow it evolved into a form of personal motivation, so it’s epic that this lyric turned into a main hook in the song.” The track retains its reggae flavour while incorporating new elements like the banjo, a bass solo, and a heavy closing section, showcasing the Wolves’ musical versatility.

It’s a sonic exploration of the human experience, a testament to the Wolves’ ability to seamlessly weave together diverse musical influences into a cohesive and captivating sound.

The single is now available on all major streaming platforms, and the West Coast Wolves invite fans and music enthusiasts alike to join them on this musical journey.
