VOYAGER FRONTMAN DANIEL “DANNY” ESTRIN ISSUES HEALTH UPDATE REVEALING
UPCOMING UK/EU TOUR POSTPONED AS EUROVISION FINALIST
(New York, NY – September 21, 2023) After an incredibly successful year representing Australia at Eurovision and releasing their new album ‘Fearless In Love’, Voyager’s lead singer Danny Estrin has received a shocking cancer diagnosis requiring immediate treatment. The news comes less than two weeks ahead of their European tour, which is now postponed until late 2024.
Danny Estrin comments “Last week I was dealt some life-altering news: I’ve been diagnosed with a form of cancer that requires immediate treatment. I am absolutely devastated that we cannot perform on our forthcoming European tour, especially after this incredible Eurovision year we’ve had. I am on strict doctors’ orders to not take this lightly, put my health first and get this sorted so that we can be on stage again as soon as possible. This has been an extremely hard decision to make, but one that everyone will hopefully understand.”
All tickets bought will be valid on rescheduled dates, but if you wish to request a refund you may do so at the point of sale.
On July 14th, Voyager released their long-awaited eight studio album, Fearless In Love, via Season Of Mist. The band comprised of Daniel “Danny” Estrin (vocals/keyboards), Simone Dow (guitars), Scott Kay (guitars), Alex Canion (bass) and Ashley Doodkorte (drums) have been creating music together for over a decade. On Fearless In Love sweeping vocals paired with emotive lyrics inspired by the grit and glam of 80s and 90s film overlay heavy guitar riffs and percussion to create a sonic journey that pushes the boundary of what fans have come to expect from Voyager. “Ultraviolet” featuring Sean Harmanis of Make The Suffer is the latest song released from 11-song epic following “Dreamer,” “Promise,” “Prince of Fire.” Fearless In Love is available HERE.

In bursts of bright light, luminous keys, neon guitar wizardry, and stratosphere-shaking rhythms, Voyager elevate hard rock to another realm. The Perth, Australia quintet—Danny Estrin [vocals], Simone Dow [guitar], Scott Kay [guitar], Alex Canion [bass], and Ashley Doodkorte [drums]—blast off on a signature hybrid of prog, rock, and metal possibly best described as the musical equivalent of Guardians of the Galaxy. This cohort of dynamic talents and personalities initially crash-landed stateside for a now-renowned performance at the 2011 ProgPower USA Festival in Atlanta, GA. Since then, they’ve unleashed a string of fan favorite albums—V , Ghost Mile , and Colours in the Sun —in addition to sharing stages with the likes of Rhapsody of Fire and Evergrey. Australia notably handpicked Voyager as its entrant into the global Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with “Promise.” The Guardian hailed the buzzing single as “a pop number that bends the genre with trademark riffs, climactic guitars and keytar solos,” and it crashed the Top 3 of the Australian Independent Label Singles Chart. They even appeared on TODAY Australia to wave the metal flag by teaching daytime TV hosts black metal growls, as plugged by Metal Injection! Now, Voyager take flight like never before on their forthcoming eighth full-length LP, Fearless In Love, and much more to come.
