Fresh from the release of the stunning duet ‘Take A Break’ with Max Boyle, Nashville-based country-pop artist Twinnieis continuing her self-proclaimed “sad girl era” with the release of her latest single ‘The Greatest Love Story’ out now.
The latest offering from the Brit native sees her building on her growing success that has seen her make her Opry debut, have her ‘Lonely Long’ video premiere on a Time’s Square Billboard, score a SiriusXM Charting single, and be named as one of CMT’s Next Women Of Country.
‘The Greatest Love Story’ is the newest installment of the upcoming EP from Twinnie that will feature an array of hard-hitting pop crossover songs – the second chapter of the ‘Blue Hour (After Dark)’ EP.
It tells the story of a lost love laced with what could have been moments that replay over and over. It’s likely to strike a chord with anyone who has that person who feels like “the one that got away”, and Twinnie’s vocal is strong, vulnerable, and raw with emotion throughout, whilst the production packs a punch making it a real standout.
Speaking about the new record, Twinnie says: “it’s inspired by a true story about my mum and stepdad, they met when they were young, due to miscommunication and a letter never being received they went their separate ways for 20 years then reunited and have been together ever since. It’s a song that lives in the world of what could have been. My mum’s story is very poetic but also comforting to know that everything works out the way it should. If they’d have gotten together all that time ago me and my siblings would have never existed and neither would this song”
A true Gypsy, Twinnie grew up in the Romani Travelling community in England where her love for storytelling first started. She made her stage debut at just 4 years old. A triple-threat, she is no stranger to film or stage working with the likes of Glenn Close, Christian Slater and Alan Menken.
While developing her own artistry, Twinnie performed as a backing dancer and singer to other artists like Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams, alongside playing lead roles in London’s West End theaters in shows like ‘Chicago’ and ‘Rock Of Ages’.
Launching her own artist career in 2020, despite the turbulent time, Twinnie became the International British crossover artist we know her as today. Twinnie has received critical acclaim from BBC Radio, People, Rolling Stone, and Billboard, and is known for her effervescent pop productions, power vocal and storytelling country lyricism centred on inclusivity and realism. Fresh to Music City, she recently made her Grand Ole Opry debut, becoming the first British Gypsy to step into the circle.
2023 became the year of firsts making her US TV Debut and charting on US Country Radio. She continues to build on the success of her release ‘Hollywood Gypsy‘, and her inaugural American label EP ‘Welcome to the Club’ which racked up over 24 million streams and won Best Short Film at the British Film Awards. She has also toured with Lindsay Ell, Chase Rice, Russel Dickerson, Seaforth and Blessing Offor.
