THE BRKN IS SET FOR A SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER TOUR THROUGHOUT EUROPE WITH THE DANGEROUS SUMMER
Denver band The BRKN: Jacob Cade [vocals, guitar], Mike Bokenkamp [drums], and MJ Younkers [guitar] are set to bring their innovative indie-pop sound on the road and will be touring with The Dangerous Summer throughout the United Kingdom and Europe in September / October. “open-hearted songwriting and energetic performance style are two of the defining features of The BRKN’s music” – American Songwriter.
As they gear up to take their show across the pond The BRKN will be releasing a live video series shot during their recent US tour run. First up is “Fake Love” a song that struts forward with wild and uncontainable guitar riffs. “It’s my thought process on people who enter into a friendship with ulterior motives,” says frontman Cade. THE BRKN unites listeners through a primal and powerful pop, rock ‘n’ roll meant to be chanted loudly. Touted by everyone from American Songwriter to BraveWords the Colorado band taps into universal feelings that most everyone will relate to, their songs are filled with hard-hitting rhythms, intense riffs, and lyrics that will leave you chanting. “We want you to know we’re going through the same things you are, and we’re your friends from far away,” exclaims Cade. “I’m so passionate about music because it’s the only thing that made me feel less alone. When you’re sad or alienated, music will be there”.
The BRKN released their debut EP No. 3 in March 2020, followed by Come Outside in June 2021. They started 2022 with the release of “Coffee” followed by “Not The Same” and plan to release more single songs leading to a new album. “We’re heading to Europe and the UK for the first time ever. Big thanks to The Dangerous Summer for giving us a big chance on an opening slot with them. We’ve been really stoked about it for a while. New music is in the works and more touring” says frontman Cade.
