| After their immensely well received debut album ‘Forlorn’ released in 2021, atmospheric doom-metal collective The Answer Lies In The Black Void featuring members of Thy Catafalque and Celestial Season will be returning with their second album in the spring of 2023.
Inspired by Carl Jung’s shadow work, this new effort is titled “Shadow Work” and was produced by Jason Köhnen, mixed and mastered by Daniel Azar Arendarski and will be available via Burning World Records.
Today, the duo revealed a music video for leading video “In Obsidian Clouds” at this location.
The video clip to ‘In Obsidian Clouds’ was created with the use of AI generated images, which Köhnen then manipulated and animated in post-production. ‘In Obsidian Clouds’ also features guest musicians Botond Fogl (guitar solos) and Gábor Drótos (orchestration).
The Answer Lies In The Black Void is a collaboration between Martina Horváth and Jason Köhnen. Horváth (also singer for the avant-garde metal project Thy Catafalque) and Köhnen (Celestial Season, The Lovecraft Sextet, Bong-Ra, ex-The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble), the duo also work together in the transcendental music project Mansur.
Horváth and Köhnen joined forces through their passion for all things Doom, presenting their personal take on the Doom genre in all its beautiful darkness and from all possible angles. Bringing their own mix of Atmospheric, Gothic laden Doom Metal.
The 2nd album ‘Shadow Work’ will be released on Burning World Records in the spring of 2023. |
