Portuguese psych/stoner rockers Stones of Babylon have just shared another track off their second album “Ishtar Gate,” which is set for release on November 21th via Raging Planet Records.
Titled “The Gate of Ishtar”, this song is now playing at Outlaws of the Sun at this location.

Traveling back in time to the ancient history and myths of Mesopotamia and the fertile crescent, Stones of Babylon continue where they left off with their 2019 debut album “Hanging Gardens”, taking the listener to feel an approach to the sounds of the Middle East in fusion with the densest and most massive riffs of the West, something like sonic mantras alternating between weight and subtlety and culminating in a psychedelic and travel atmosphere.
Recorded, mixed and mastered by Paulo Vieira at Brugo Studio, Lisbon, Portugal, “Ishtar Gate” marks the debut of Alexandre Mendes on guitar and is set for release on vinyl, CD and digital download through Raging Planet Records. Pre-orders are now available at this location.
