SONS OF LIBERTY & PREACHER STONE TOUR 2023
Sons of Liberty (UK) announce a co-headline tour with Preacher Stone (USA) for March 2023 featuring a transatlantic line-up of two of the hardest Southern Rockers on the current new music scene. Taking in 9 venues, including a return hometown show for The Sons at The Thekla Bristol, the bands will bring their brands of hooky, foot-stomping laden rock in an exciting night for all.
Sons of Liberty are a group of well-travelled musicians, having played venues all over the Uk and festivals including Planet Rock Winter’s End, Winterstorm, HRH, Loverocks and most recently Raismes Fest (FR) to continued outstanding ovations. They released their “tricky” second album ‘Aces & Eights’ in 2021 to huge acclaim from critics and fans alike gaining them rave reviews across the board including; “These boys don’t just play it – they live it. 8/10” Powerplay Magazine, “Most certainly hit the jackpot” Hard Rock Hell Magazine and “Sons of Liberty keep the southern rock flag flying!” Classic Rock Magazine. This saw them being playlisted on Planet Rock, featured in Classic Rock Magazine ‘Tracks of The Week’ and head out on tour as special guests to UK rock royalty in FM and Grand Slam.
Drawn together by a shared love of the incredible music of the southern states of America and their desire to deal this out with their own whiskey smoked swagger, the band of brothers are Fred Hale and Andy Muse (Guitars), Mark Thomas (Bass) and Steve Byrne (Drums) with frontman Rob Walker. The boys have proved to be an energetic band that delivers an authentic, crowd pleasing and fresh performance; “It’s not just their style that has flair but their performance too” Rock N Load Magazine.
Preacher Stone are a turbo-charged, high-octane, 200 proof, rock-n-roll band out of North Carolina USA. The band’s guitar-driven songs about the common man and the swagger of their live performances have earned them a legion of faithful fans known as “the congregation”. Their song “Not Today” was featured on two seasons of the hit Fox TV series Sons of Anarchy.
The band has toured the United States, Europe, and Scandinavia and shared the stage with acts such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top and Deep Purple. In the words of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Member and original Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Bob Burns, “Ronnie Van Zant would’ve loved Preacher Stone!”. This will be the first time they reach UK shores and not a chance to be missed.
