SONG SUFFRAGETTES LONDON ANNOUNCES OFFICIAL MEDIA PARTNERSHIP WITH HOLLER
Lineup revealed for the next monthly London show (March 1)
LONDON, U.K. – (21st, February, 2023) – The UK edition of Nashville’s groundbreaking all-female writer’s round, Song Suffragettes London, and leading global Country/Americana music platform Holler, have today announced an official media partnership, which will extend to social media coverage, artist interviews, exclusive lineup announcements, and a brand presence for Holler at the monthly Song Suffragettes residency in Camden. Read all about the partnership here.
The collaboration launches on March 1st, 2023, at the next London event, which will feature Twinnie, May Payne, Laura Beckwith, Amber T, and Rachel Croft – tickets here. The event also coincides with the beginning of Women’s History Month, when Holler will publish an extensive feature, giving an in-depth look at the history of female songwriters in the music industry.
“Last year during Country Music Week, I met some of the Holler team on a Holler Live Sessions shoot and was immediately taken by their passion for great music and their clear desire to represent talented artists in the best possible light,” shares Song Suffragettes founder Todd Cassetty. “Soon thereafter, we launched Song Suffragettes London, and conversations started with Holler around the need to further awareness and opportunities for women in music.
“Those conversations led us to a media partnership that we’re thrilled to launch officially with our March 1st show – appropriately at the very start of Women’s History Month.”
“We couldn’t be more excited to be partnering with Song Suffragettes to present their shows here in London,” added Ross Jones, editor of Holler. “The UK has a wealth of wonderfully creative women who deserve to be heard, and there’s no better way of presenting that opportunity than through the intimate and engaged setting of a Song Suffragettes round. We’ve wanted to expand our focus and coverage into live music since our inception, and to do so in partnership with such a dedicated and passionate platform is a real honour.”
Song Suffragettes will also be featured at C2C Festival for the first time next month, with a special performance at The O2 Arena. US singer/songwriters Alyssa Bonagura and Haley Mae Campbell, and UK artist Paris Adams will share the stage for a one-of-a-kind performance, showcasing both local and international talent.
The monthly London residency, which takes place on the first Wednesday of every month at The Camden Club, most recently included Adams (UK), #1 hit-maker Tenille Arts (Canada), Mia Morris (US), Katie Kittermaster (UK), and Kristina Karsegård (UK).
The collective first made its UK debut late last year with a critically acclaimed national tour, featuring Kalie Shorr, Carter Faith, Twinnie and Robyn Ottolini, and presented by the Academy of Country Music – watch the highlights in a behind-the-scenes video here. British duo Ward Thomas were also invited to make a special guest appearance at the sold-out, “triumphant London debut” (Entertainment Focus).
