New York City-based trio Show Me The Body announce Trouble The Water – Remixes, set to be released on 31st August via Loma Vista Recordings. Trouble The Water – Remixes includes reimagined versions of select tracks from their 2022 full length Trouble The Water. Along with the announcement of the remix project, Show Me The Body share the “Food From Plate (Coochie Mix)” by Detroit ghettotech trio HiTech. The reworked version of “Food From Plate” arrives on the heels of the video to the original album version, which dropped yesterday and was directed by Dennis Wornick. Trouble The Water – Remixes includes reworkings by Pink Siifu, Michael “5000” Watts of Swishahouse fame, Slauson Malone 1, and Psymun featuring RXKNephew. Coming off the back of their successful and epic World War Tour earlier this year, Show Me The Body will head to the West Coast to perform with The Garden for a string of nine shows beginning in Oakland on October 14th with stops in Portland, Seattle, Boise, Reno and Phoenix, before wrapping up in San Diego on October 26th. Released at the end of last year, Trouble The Water is Show Me The Body’s fourth full-length and includes the anthemic tracks “WW4,” “Loose Talk,” which came paired with a video directed by front man Julian Cashwan Pratt, and “We Came To Play.” The 12-track album was recorded entirely at CORPUS studios in Long Island City and produced with Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Turnstile, Municipal Waste). Trouble The Water is the culmination of nearly a decade’s time barreling against New York City’s structural ambivalence and indifference. SHOW ME THE BODY is an ecclesiastical hardcore trio consisting of Julian Cashwan Pratt (founder; banjo and vocals), Harlan Steed (founder; bass), and Jackie McDermott (current drummer). The band, originally started in 2009, have released a handful of EPs and two groundbreaking studio albums in 2016’s ‘Body War’ and the aforementioned 2019 release ‘Dog Whistle’. They have organised non-traditional, intentional DIY spaces for NYC youth since 2015, and since expanded that work to a global capacity through their urgent, ceremonial live shows, subterranean punk and hip-hop mixed tours, and their CORPUS NYC platform.
