About Malachi Gagnon:

Church is often called the ultimate schooling for a singer. For 15-year-old Malachi Gagnon, that proved to be true.

“I have the privilege to sing on stage every Sunday and I love sharing the gifts that were given to me.”

Hailing from a small town in New Hampshire, the Florida singer-songwriter is unveiling “Without You,” an impassioned ballad in which Malachi shares his feelings for a girl he never wants to leave. For Malachi, it’s the logical follow up to his two break-up songs, “Craving Me” and “Psychopath.”

“I had written two break-up songs so I thought I should put out a love song, so people don’t think I’m a morbid singer,” he says with a laugh. “It’s a cool representation of the pain you feel when you don’t want to lose somebody who you love. I think all of us feel that way. It relates to a very broad group of people.”

Singing came about organically for Malachi: He was bored during the pandemic, picked up a guitar and started singing. His father heard him singing during an impromptu talent show with friends and was surprised when he heard Malachi’s rendition of “You are the Reason” by English pop powerhouse Calum Scott. Malachi found success on social media, garnering tens of thousands of monthly listeners and over 500k streams on his single “Psychopath.”

“Here I am, only two years later, still shocked,” he says about the response. “It’s a surreal feeling. I never thought I’d be sitting here. It’s crazy. I didn’t think anybody would listen, really. It’s a hobby that has become a dream.”
