Arch Echo’s musical proficiency has seen them cross over into the gaming world to great success, and capture the hearts and minds of both progressive music and gaming fans, whilst simultaneously bringing an uplifting and fun element to their musical creations.

The band, who recently supported Dream Theater on their US tour, join the likes of Angel Vivaldi, Hollywood Chamber Orchestra, Band-Maid and various other artists in recreating the soundtrack for the Chinese game in their own style.

Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game developed and published by miHoYo. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, iOS, and Android in 2020, and on PlayStation 5 in 2021, and is set for release on Nintendo Switch. The game features an anime-style open-world environment and an action-based battle system using elemental magic and character-switching. The game is free-to-play and is monetized through mechanics through which players can obtain new characters and weapons.

Arch Echo says this about their participation in the video game

“As someone who likes to come up with metal arrangements of classic video game tunes for fun, it was a really cool experience to work with Genshin Impact. They are a highly respected video game and have a community that truly enjoys quality soundtracks. I believe that our renditions of the songs on this OST bring the full power of Arch Echo behind the project. Genshin’s original music is absolutely incredible and I really love how our arrangements turned out.” – Joe Calderone of Arch Echo

Arch Echo is the brainchild of five musicians who wish to push the envelope of modern music. Their goal is to create music that is not only complex, but accessible to the listener, delivered with passion and enthusiasm. Formed in 2016, Arch Echo exploded onto the progressive metal/fusion scene with a debut self-titled album that gained worldwide attention, housing popular songs “Hip Dipper” and “Color Wheel”. Tours in North America and Europe soon followed including a mainstage debut at the UK Tech Fest in 2018. Arch Echo returned with a 2019 follow up “You Won’t Believe What Happens Next!” and again in 2020 with their 4- track EP, “Story I”. Tours with artists such as Dream Theater, Periphery, Plini, VOLA and a co-headline Japanese tour with Jacky Vincent brought their powerful live sound to new ears all over the world.
