Newcomer Harper Grace Drops Mood-Lifting Anthem, ‘Down In My Hometown’

CURB RECORDS NEWCOMER HARPER GRACE DROPS PARTY-STARTING, MOOD-LIFTING ANTHEM, ‘DOWN IN MY HOMETOWN’ TODAY (28/7)

Celebrated Morning Show Debut; Shared ‘Oh Say Can You See’ and Anti-Bullying Story on ‘TODAY with Hoda & Jenna’ This Week

Making UK Debut in October As Part of Country Music Week’s Song Suffragettes Line-Up

Nashville, Tenn. — (28 July, 2023) — Curb Records newcomer Harper Grace drops party-starting, mood-lifting anthem, ‘Down In My Hometown‘, today (28/7). Listen to the made-for-summer track here, and watch the accompanying lyric video here.

The Texas native can’t help but smile when she thinks about where she came from on ‘Down In My Hometown’ as she cranks it up to 11 and transports listeners back to her small town roots — complete with a BBQ-stained white T. The buzzed-about songstress kicks up the red dirt with her sassy brand of pop-country on her third release of 2023.

‘Down In My Hometown’ follows Harper Grace’s autobiographical original, ‘Oh Say Can You See’, a letter to her 11-year-old self as the newly signed recording artist endured widespread bullying after her first public performance of the National Anthem didn’t go as planned. She shared the emotionally-charged track earlier this week on ‘TODAY with Hoda & Jenna’, marking her morning show debut. Watch Harper Grace talk about the traumatic events that led to the song along with the full performance here.

The heartfelt selection arrives on the heels of Harper Grace’s shimmering debut, ‘Sparkle’, which Music Row described as “an excellent debut single that deserves massive attention.” Watch the glittery clip here.

While the rising country star introduced her multifaceted personality with ‘Sparkle’, the singer/songwriter took the significant message behind ‘Oh Say Can You See’ to ballparks across the country on her aptly titled “Redemption Tour” in the US. Proving her early critics wrong, the singer/songwriter delivered standing-ovation-worthy renditions of “The Star-Spangled Banner” in advance of recent home games for the St. Louis Blues, the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Chicago White Sox, the New York Mets, the Washington Nationals and the Nashville Sounds, among others.

Grace will also be making her UK debut this October, as part of the Country Music Week’s Song Suffragettes line-up, taking place on Saturday, 21st October at Bush Hall in London.

In addition, the Nashville transplant recently provided direct support for ONEREPUBLIC at the U.S. Naval Academy and has opened for Martina McBride and Sara Evans. She will open for Ingrid Andress later this year.

ABOUT HARPER GRACE:
Newly signed Curb Records recording artist and Jonas Group Entertainment-managed, Harper Grace, is a Texas native with dreams the size of her home state. The rising Country star’s initial experience in the spotlight came at just 11 years old when her first public performance of The National Anthem didn’t go as planned, eliciting widespread criticism from an array of online observers and media outlets.

Seven years later, the “American Idol” alum redeemed herself by returning to the same stadium and nailing a version of the patriotic song. Now residing in Nashville and currently traveling around the U.S. singing The National Anthem at multiple high-profile venues and sharing her anti-bullying story with people on her Redemption Tour, Harper has released 2 new songs so far in 2023: “Sparkle,” and “Oh Say Can You See,” an autobiographical track she penned for her 11-year-old self. Harper’s upcoming song, “Down In My Hometown,” will release on July 28, 2023.

Harper Grace performed on The TODAY Show on July 24, 2023. During 2023, Harper has opened, or will open, for ONEREPUBLIC, Sara Evans, Martina McBride, and Ingrid Andress.
