Following a year long campaign between Marshall Amplification and MOBO UnSung, today Marshall Records are proud to release ‘MOBO UnSung: Class of 2022’. The album features thirteen tracks with a total of ten artists that are part of this year’s MOBO UnSung finalists. Each artist brings their individual flavour alongside on their respective tracks as well as collaborations between the extended MOBO UnSung family. These artists consist of A3O, Zitah, JClarke, Crae Wolf, Sarah Ikumu, Natalie Lindi, Mace the Great, Adreyn Cash, Genesis Elijah and Jordan Adetunji.

Over the course of the year Marshall delivered panels, recording and industry sessions for all ten artists at Marshall Studio. This was then followed by the hugely successful MOBO UnSung Freshers Tour which saw MOBO UnSung perform all over the UK. MOBO UnSung artists also performed at various festivals throughout the summer that included Strawberries & Creem, Boomtown and Glastonbury as well as receiving radio playlisting.

The album is out now on all digital services and a limited edition CD is available to pre-order, physical release November 18th 2022.

The partnership comes as the first of a new initiative between Marshall Amplification and MOBO UnSung with the aim of finding, developing and amplifying the best new emerging British talent.

CEO and founder of MOBO Organisation and the MOBO Awards which celebrates its 25th anniversary year this year, Kanya King CBE, had the following to say regarding this unique collaboration.

“MOBO continues to provide a unique talent platform and push for more representation, both on stage and behind the scenes across the creative industries, and crucially through MOBO UnSung, our development programme for emerging talent at a crucial time in their careers.

This years MOBO UnSung Class of 2022 are among the finest the UK’s homegrown scene has to offer and it’s going to be rewarding to see these artists make their mark upon the world through their love of music.

It is very exciting and fitting in this 25th anniversary year of the MOBO Awards, to be able to announce the release of the first compilation album from MOBO UnSung supported by Marshall Amplification, as part of our 5-year partnership.  The talent have the will to win, the desire to succeed and the drive to reach their full potential, so let’s unlock the door of opportunities.”
