About Masser:
Masser is the brainchild of Gideon Waxman, former drummer of the UK metalcore band Familiar Spirit. After stepping away from touring, Waxman decided to embark on a new creative journey. With an ardent desire to express himself as a songwriter, Gideon has found solace and artistic liberation in crafting deeply expressive and powerful cinematic music. His compositions are characterized by dark folk-tinged layers, rich sonic textures, and melodies that have the ability to evoke a wide range of emotions within the listener. With a keen focus on creating immersive soundscapes, Gideon’s music invites listeners on a transformative journey.
While influenced by artists and styles from the realms of metal, Masser draws inspiration from video game and film soundtracks including the Elder Scrolls video games series and Lord of the Rings. Composers Jeremy Soule, Hans Zimmer, and James Newton Howard, also play a notable role in inspiring creativity for Masser’s music.
Masser emerged with the release their debut album Chain of Gifts in December 2022. Following the recent release of the singles, ‘Creed of a Worshipped Weapon’, ‘The Forlorn Path’ and ‘Hour of the Wolf’, Masser has unveiled the EP The Forlorn Path.
