Liverpool’s electronic pop pioneers Ladytron are gifting their fans with a surprise two decades in the making, “All Over By Xmas”.
Gorgeously adorned with their trademark analogue synths, and sleigh bells riding a wintery wall of sound, “All Over By Xmas” is an instant classic, a majestic glam stomp, in the festive tradition of ‘Stop the Cavalry’ and ‘Pipes of Peace’.
Cut from the same cloth as their 2023 acclaimed album ‘Time’s Arrow’, Ladytron, orchestrates the holiday season with an uplifting soundtrack.
The release arrives at the time of announcing their first UK show of 2024: New Century Hall in Manchester on January 26. The band also recently announced their headline slot at the three-day Schellraiser Festival in Nevada in June and more dates will be announced soon. The band also close out the year with their seminal single “Destroy Everything You Touch” featured in Emerald Fennell’s new highly praised film and soundtrack for Saltburn.
2023 has been a remarkable year for Ladytron, spearheaded by their return with a seventh studio album ‘Time’s Arrow’ – a dystopian, beatific masterpiece that earned a nod from Rolling Stone in their ‘Best Albums of 2023 So Far’ list. Their fan favorite “Destroy Everything You Touch” was remixed by popular dance artist Space Motion, which earned support from DJ heavyweights such as Armin van Buuren and Camelphat. Ladytron embarked on live performances around the world that saw them play the stages at summer festivals in Europe and in the US including Just Like Heaven and CRSSD. They also sold out numerous headline shows across the US and UK.
As Ladytron continues to weave their hallucinogenic soundscapes, “All Over By Xmas” stands as a testament to their enduring creativity, their sense of mischief, and commitment to musical magic.
