JETSKI
RELEASE NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO ‘JOEY AND ZOE’

FOR THE FAMILY EP DUE 21ST OCTOBER

Sheffield’s JETSKI have announced details of their debut EP, For The Family, which is set for release 21st October. To celebrate the announcement, the four-piece have also released their new single and video for ‘Joey and Zoe‘.

The song is accompanied by a hilarious video showing the band’s hunt for a new bass player, after theirs broke his back at Outbreak Festival earlier in the year. Frontman Charles Fitzgerald explains:

“’Joey and Zoe’ was written during the lockdown when house parties seemed like a thing of the past – we wanted to tell a story that most can relate to; pre-drinking, trying to find a yard a mate of a mate of a mate told you to come to. You know the deal.”

On the music video, he continues:
“Once recording was polished off, we set out to record a couple music videos with Aaran from While She Sleeps, but just before starting the shoot, our bass player broke his back at Outbreak Festival. So with that new spanner in the works we rewrote the video concept to fit around our out-of-action bass player and poke a bit of fun at his School of Rock-esque injury. It’s a throwback to the pop punk videos of the early 2000s filled with skits and silliness.”

JETSKI – ‘Joey and Zoe’
Following a span of multiple sold out hometown shows, Spotify editorial fame and a constant stream of bangers, the northern rock quartet are due to release their debut EP For The Family next month.

“We recorded our EP with Jim Pinder (Bring Me The HorizonWhile She SleepsMalevolence) and as soon as we put it down we knew ‘Joey and Zoe’ had to be the first single. I think it showcases a little bit of all the music that inspires us and the directions we aim to head in moving forward”.

Built to combat the grey tones of Sheffield’s industrial landscape, JETSKI’s bloodline blends sunshine-filled, emo-tinted rock with indie sensibilities. Debuting in the summer of 2019 with single ‘Easy Peeler’, JETSKI quickly obtained the attention of festivals such Ynot and 2Q.
