“Justice will have been served when Jeremy Lister is a household name.”

Alison Krauss

“Jeremy Lister is a proper singer; distinct and powerful… He has a voice you can trust… At the same time he’s technically gifted in the old school sense – the kind of rare singer these days who would never have to rely on technology, or even a second take.”

Ben Folds

“Jeremy‘s music is a language that speaks to the soul through his superbly written songs that are heartfelt and unmistakably timeless. When Jeremy Lister sings, it’s magic.”

Nashville’s Jeremy Lister will re-release his acclaimed 2011 full-length ‘The Bed You Made’ on vinyl for the first time ever on June 16 via Ring Records.

Pre-order ‘The Bed You made’ on Vinyl here.

Includes updated artwork. Remastered for vinyl by lucky mastering. Limited first press to 100 copies.

Stream on Spotify, and Apple Music.

Originally scheduled for release via Warner Brothers Records, the LP was sadly shelved (a casualty of a dreaded “regime change” at the label), thus, Lister went back to his DIY roots, by self-releasing the 12-track album, which features a duet with Alison Krauss (who later recorded his song “Sinking Stone” for her 2011 ‘Paper Airplane’ album).

Enter rising Los Angeles indie label Ring Records, longtime fans of the Nashville-based musician, who have announced the 10-year anniversary re-release of the album, now available for the first time ever on vinyl,

Lister will celebrate the LP’s 10-year anniversary and vinyl release with a show at Nashville’s Eastside Bowl on June 23. Tickets available here.

Jeremy says, “I’m excited to be releasing ‘The Bed You Made’ on vinyl ten(ish) years after it originally came out. I put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into this album and it’s great to be shining a light on it again. I’m thrilled to be playing these songs again with my old band on June 23rd.

I was going through a very tough time during the making of this album. You can hear it in the music and the lyrics. It was the end of a ten-year relationship I had been in. I was struggling coming to terms that I was an alcoholic/addict. My record deal with Warner Brothers was going through a slow breakup. Despite all of that, I was writing and recording some of the best music I had ever written. It was an honor to work with the brilliant Justin Loucks, Ian Fitchuk and so many incredible musicians. One of the greatest honors was to have Alison Krauss come in to sing and play on a few tracks. Then getting the call that her and Union Station were cutting “Sinking Stone” on their album Paper Airplane.”

About Jeremy Lister

Nashville’s Jeremy Lister started connecting with music while growing up in the middle of Mississippi. A son of a preacher, he began singing and learning harmonies in church at the age of two. Lister moved to Nashville in 2003, bringing his first EP, ‘Shooting Star,’ with him. In 2005, he released his second EP, ‘So Far,’ followed by the release of his ‘Just One Day’ EP on Warner Bros. Records. That same year, he was invited to join the Ten Out of Tenn collective of singer/songwriters, which included then-up-and-coming artists such as Andrew Belle, K.S. Rhoads, and Gabe Dixon.

In 2010, he joined the a cappella group Street Corner Symphony for the second season of NBC’s “The Sing-Off.” The group became a fan favorite, eventually claiming the second-place title in the competition. Ben Folds invited them out on the road immediately following their success on the show, which launched their touring career. Street Corner Symphony performs dozens of headlining shows all over the world each year.

Lister released his first solo full-length album, ‘The Bed You Made,’ in 2011, which featured a duet with Alison Krauss on the song “You and I.” In 2013, he released the single “Set Us Free,” which became the theme song for the MTV series “The World Of Jenks.” In 2017, he and his brothers, together under the name Lister Brothers, co-wrote and released the album ‘Helium Ocean.’

In the 16+ years since he moved to Nashville, Lister has become a Music City staple, known for his prolific songwriting and unequaled vocal range. He has worked with some of Nashville’s biggest names, from Alison Krauss to Amy Grant, Meghan Trainor, and Chely Wright.

Since signing with Big Yellow Dog in 2019, Lister has had songs placed with T-Mobile, Dignity Health, the Netflix movie 2 Hearts, the promo for the season finale of Modern Family, and more, and has released four EPs: “Sign Language” – 2019, “Cool Cool” (side project with Bergie) – 2020, “Forest for the Trees” – 2020, and “Happy Holidays, Everyone” EP – 2020. His most recent release is the 2023 single “Living In The Lost.”
