Rising star Irish singer-songwriter Darren Kiely releases his debut EP, Lost, today. Listen here.

“I’m really excited to release a project that reflects on my journey to this point,” Kiely said. “This EP describes so much of the last few years of my life and I can’t wait to see what you think of it.”

Kiely’s unique presentation of folk-infused pop and lush storytelling, which echoes the backdrop of the Irish countryside where he was raised, is the forefront of his Lost EP. Kiely solo-wrote four of the seven tracks on the project and co-wrote the other three. Lost explores the triumphant war of overcoming self-doubt, struggling to find himself, questioning emotions and seeking answers. The EP features “Mom & Dad,” which was released this summer as an ode to Kiely’s parents for helping him through tough times. The song debuted in the Top 40 on the Irish Singles Chart and landed him in the Top 5 on the Irish Homegrown chart.

Lost also includes his new song “Lost & Found,” released last month. Following its release, Grateful Web praised Kiely, noting that he “masterfully carves out his distinctive sound, ensuring he’s not just another voice in the crowd but a force to be reckoned with…Kiely’s journey, filled with challenges, sacrifices, and milestones, is a testament to his talent and determination. The world waits with bated breath for what’s next from this emerging star.” Additionally, Sweety High shared that “Kiely has been making waves with stirring, emotional folk-pop ballads.”

The rising star is currently on his headline THE ROAD HOME TOUR, which kicked off this past week in Boston and NYC. Kiely is now headed back home to Ireland for the rest of the dates, with stops in Belfast, Cork, Dublin, Galway, and Limerick City. The Irish leg of the tour sold out the same day that it went on sale. Additionally, Kiely will be heading out on tour with The 502s after his headlining dates, stopping in 20 major cities in the UK including Berlin, Manchester, Oslo, Paris and Zurich.

Kiely recently announced his headline North American tour for 2024, THE LOST TOUR. Beginning in January, the singer will take the stage in 17 cities across the United States and Canada with stops in Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Philadelphia, Toronto, and others. About Darren Kiely:
Hailing from a quaint town in Co. Cork, Ireland, Darren Kiely’s folk-infused pop sound originates from his inherited love of traditional Irish music, intertwined with modern influences such as The Lumineers and Noah Kahan. At just five years old, Darren learned the tin whistle, and at eight years old he picked up the fiddle, eventually teaching himself to play guitar as well. Darren began singing in 2019, quickly garnering attention for his raw and fervent vocals and emotive delivery. After winning numerous honors at a national level in Irish traditional music, Darren found his way to New York in 2022 to continue developing his own music and sound. Since then, he has entered Ireland’s top 50 viral charts on three separate occasions: with his debut single “How Could You Love Me,” followed by “Ella” and “Time To Leave.” The singer-songwriter recently added buzzworthy new track “Mom & Dad” to his repertoire, which debuted in the Top 40 on the Irish Singles Chart and also landed him in the Top 5 on the Irish Homegrown chart. With over 8.5 million total global streams under his belt and recent sold out shows at Rockwood Music Hall and Mercury Lounge in New York and The Basement in Nashville, Darren is set to bring his THE ROAD HOME TOUR to his home country of Ireland in November. With stops in Cork, Dublin, Galway and Limerick, the tour sold out the same day it went on sale.
