In only a few days London’s top extreme metal festival Incineration Fest will be once again falling upon Camden town.

With another stacked lineup of some of the best new & classic bands, it’s surely going to leave London yet again laid to waste.
We are here to give you our preview of bands you should be checking out!
First up over at The Electric Ballroom are the Fen with their own blend of atmospheric black metal & rock. Hailing from London these guys are one of the best ways to start off the day. Big riffs & heavy ethereal moments with this band. The perfect warm-up for today’s brutality.
Next head over to the tiny venue The Dev, Corpsing will show you just what UK death metal is all about. Another group from London harnessed their own blend of old-school death metal with the technicality of the modern wave of thrash. I’ve been lucky to catch these guys live a few times in the past year & they always put on a great & energetic performance!
Skipping over to The Black Heart for some blackened speed thrash. This group has been on my radar for some time & has a reputation for putting on a hella live show so i think you need to check them out. The perfect blend of that fast pissed-off speed of Motorhead with the black metal twinge of Venom & Bathory. For all you battle jackets-wearing speed freaks, this one is for you.
One of the hotly-tipped bands for this weekend is Thantifaxath who will be over at the Underworld. Their latest album “Hive Mind Narcosis” has taken the underground by storm. Drenched in misery their unique style of black metal & death metal is something to behold. Make sure you get to The World’s End early for these guys as it’s gonna be packed!
Now if you are anything like me I love some classic-sounding death metal & Malediction back over at The Dev scratch that itch.
Hailing from all over the UK these veterans have been a band since 1990 so when I say it’s old school it’s truly old school. Recently the band have started to release new music and their 2023 EP “The Soil Throne” was my favourite of last year. So if you want the true old school look no further.
I will unfortunately have to miss the next band as there is a great lineup over at the Electric Ballroom but if you still haven’t got your death metal fill just yet next up after Malediction are Sunderlands Vacivus.
After the release of their 2019 album “Annihilism” i took note of these guys. If you love the darker side of death metal with it dipping its toes into the more dark & cavernous realm then look no further.
To close your night at The Electric Ballroom the legendary Amorphis are here with their classic Finnish melodic death metal epic tracks. One of the most prolific bands within the melodeath scene, this band’s set is sure to be filled with all sorts of monumental tracks to finish off one of the biggest extreme metal nights of the year!
