Genre-blending singer-songwriter Georgia Webster delivers the next iteration on her musical evolution by releasing the song and video for “Delusional.” Written alongside Austin Goodloe, Joybeth Taylor, and Lydia Vaughan, Webster navigates personal heartbreak by recounting scenarios from a previous relationship. With an airy, dreamlike melody, the anthem begs the question: were the feelings mutual, or is she delusional for thinking it was something more?

“Was it love at first sight or did love just make me blind? / I could have sworn that the feelin’ was mutual / When you said we were somethin’ special you meant it, right? / Were we crazy ‘bout each other / Or was I just delusional?”

“I wrote ‘Delusional’ about feeling crazy over a relationship and feeling like you’re in denial. It’s a feeling I think a lot of people can relate to and I hope this song connects with everyone and helps them cope in the way that it helped me when I wrote it!” says Webster.

The track follows her most recent release, “Attention,” which alludes to channeling an Olivia Rodrigo-esque mindset of going to extreme lengths to capture one’s attention. Defining this new era of music, Webster worked alongside producer King Henry (Sasha Sloan, Justin Bieber, Major Lazer, Beyonce) to hone in her sound and create some of the most “exciting and authentic” music she’s written so far.

Following a busy year on Kelsea Ballerini’s HEARTFIRST TOUR, Webster will embark on her headlining acoustic TOWN TALKS TOUR—making stops in multiple cities across the US. Keep up with Webster on InstagramXTikTokFacebook, and YouTube to learn more about her upcoming plans for 2024.

ABOUT GEORGIA WEBSTER:
A native of tiny Hampden, MA, Georgia Webster grew up listening to a variety of music —from John Mayer and Miley Cyrus to Taylor Swift, Keane, and Eva Cassidy—finding a particular interest in the workmanship of singer-songwriters. Getting an early start in high school, Webster began developing her craft by performing around her hometown and writing journals full of original songs. Drawing inspiration from Olivia Rodrigo, Lennon Stella, Kacey Musgraves, LANY, and more, Webster developed a unique sound that combines her cross-genre influences and storytelling lyricism.

Wanting to fine-tune her craft even further, Webster attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music’s songwriter camp, where her natural talent blossomed. Shortly after, in July 2020, everything changed for the musical prodigy when her song “Tell Your Mom” became an instant viral hit. Webster’s success brought impressive offers from pop and rock record labels out of New York and Los Angeles, but her instincts told her working out of Nashville would allow her to stay true to herself as a singer-songwriter with small-town roots.

Webster teamed up with songwriter and producer Paul DiGiovanni to create the studio version of “Tell Your Mom,” which was featured on her debut EP, First Goodbye. First Goodbye is notably comprised of all self-penned songs and obtained critical praise from multiple outlets, with People deeming it “a treasure of an album” and Sweety High noting that it “brings us back to Taylor Swift’s country days.” She also spent some time touring as the opening act on Ingrid Andress’ tour.

In September 2022, Georgia Webster released her latest EP, Chapter 1: Things We’re Not Saying, featuring 6 brand new tracks from the rising star, including the previously released track “X’s,” which garnered the attention of Kelsea Ballerini. After hearing the song, Ballerini invited Webster to join her as direct support on Ballerini’s HEARTFIRST TOUR, which made stops at iconic venues throughout the US and UK.
