EP SERIES QUARANTINE CHRONICLES WAS RELEASED LAST SUMMER

NEW YORK, NY – JUNE 17, 2022 – Today, From Ashes To New released “Heartache” via Better Noise Music. The band, which boasts four Top Ten Active Rock singles and over 345M streams across digital music platforms, also premiered an impactful new video to accompany the single. The new song sonically depicts the true “phoenix rising from the ashes” story behind the band’s name. From the opening lines, “Growing up in a prison is, Nothing different than the town I’m used to living in,” the track highlights the humble beginnings, poverty, family addiction, mental health issues each band member has faced, along with the current awareness of how those things have changed the trajectory of how they live now. Last summer the band released an EP series, the Quarantine Chronicles, that also dove deep into the trials and tribulations of life and received critical acclaim from outlets such as Loudwire. From Ashes To New is gearing up to connect with fans on stage this summer, with Memphis May Fire on the “Remade In Misery” tour. Full list of dates below. Listen to “Heartache” HERE. Watch the new video HERE. Tickets & VIP available for purchase HERE.

Directed by JosiahX, the “Heartache” music video captures and illustrates the feeling of the darkness from which each band member originated.  Watch the official music video HERE.

Lead singer Matt Brandyberry reflected on what inspired the song, saying, “Heartache. It’s something we have all experienced and for most of us, something that defines a large portion of our lives. Filling our hearts with happiness gets us through each passing day, but the moments that cause pain are what condition us for our futures. Our stories began with heartache and from that heartache we manifested our happiness. With the good comes the bad, but from the bad we create the great. We are nothing without the heartache.”

The Quarantine Chronicles EPs have seen great success, earning 20M streams across digital music platforms. The band collaborated with multiple acts on the project, including electric violinist Caitlin De Ville, Thousand Foot Krutch’s Trevor McNevan, and Johnny 3 Tears of Hollywood Undead. “Light Up The Sky,” a single featured in Vol. 2, also premiered on SiriusXM’s Octane.

This summer the band will be joining Memphis May Fire on the “Remade In Misery” tour across North America. The tour will kick off in Charlotte, NC on June 24 and end in Alton, VA on September 10. Fans can catch the band in cities such as New York, Philadelphia, Denver, and San Diego. See a full list of dates below. ABOUT FROM ASHES TO NEW

In a small town, you either die where you came from or dream your way out. From Ashes To New understand this choice. As such, the Lancaster, PA band—Matt Brandyberry [rap vocals, keys, synths, programming, guitar], Danny Case [clean & unclean vocals], Lance Dowdle [lead guitar], and Mat Madiro [drums]—churn out an anthemic hybrid of hard rock, hip-hop, electronic, and alternative with enough energy to inspire you to get up, move forward, and maybe even, make a change. Since 2013, the group have risen from humble beginnings to the top of the 21st century rock vanguard with hundreds of millions of streams, sold out shows across the country, and acclaim from LoudWire, Alternative Press, and more.

“Growing up in Elizabethtown, PA felt hopeless in a way,” admits Matt. “You go to college and become part of corporate America, or you’re just “trash”.  For the longest time, I fell into the latter category according to other people. My mentality was, ‘Who are these people to fucking tell me what I’m going to do with my life?’ They don’t make my decisions; I make decisions for myself. It took a lot of ups and downs, but it’s paying off. I owe it to the small town blue-collar mentality that made me work harder. Danny grew up in Rochester, but his story is the same. We were the loners picked last. Everyone underestimated us. We fought through it for all of our lives, and we’re going to be picked first now.”

“I was always an outcast who nobody gave a shit about,” agrees Danny. “The only thing I ever dreamt of was music. Like the other guys in From Ashes to New, nobody was going to tell me otherwise or stop me.”

During 2021, the musicians holed up in Lancaster with longtime collaborators and producers Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak to create their upcoming album.  This time around, the band made a conscious decision to ignore outside influences and focus on what makes them From Ashes To New.

“We weren’t going to let other people tell us what to do,” affirms Danny. “We went back to the guys who produced us for a long time, because they worked cohesively with us.”

“We got back to the days of creating music to simply create,” adds Matt. “We ended up making the most genuine piece of art we could. At the same time, we applied everything we’ve learned as musicians, producers, and writers. We knew we were capable of doing everything bigger and better.”

“Heartache” sets the stage for an aggressive revolutionized sound.  “It was one of the first songs for the record,” Matt recalls. “It’s about my upbringing and being from a place of hard work and labor. You’re born, you’re taught to work, you work until your bones can’t move, and you die. You may be able to make a happy life, but is it the life you want? You may be born into this scenario, but you find your own path. It’s largely our story.”

“I came from a dark place. I’m made from the heartache.”
