Electronic dance trio NOISY return with their first official release of the year, in the form of 90s-inspired dance anthem ‘Alligator’ out now via Concord Records.

The new single not-so-quietly reintroduces NOISY to the world, elevating their sound to another level once more. Exploding out the gates with bigger breaks, harder hooks and refined sampling, ‘Alligator’ is a modern-day 90s dance anthem, paying homage to Livin’ Joy’s classic vocal ‘Dreamer’.

Created on a writing trip to The Prodigy’s hometown of Braintree, this local inspiration is evident on the new single, sonically bringing a Prodigy-esque spirit to the new offering.

The accompanying music video continues a tradition of high-octane, larger-than-life videos for the band. In this instance, they’re joined by two live alligators.

On the new single, singer Cody said: “I used to have a recurring nightmare as a kid that an alligator was trying to eat me so that’s where the lyrics came from. We spent a week writing in an airbnb near Braintree and Alligator came pretty quickly after getting gassed on the Livin’ Joy sample. I remember one of the first times hearing that tune and feeling a rush of euphoria and excitement, and now it’s so iconic. It was also the perfect excuse to get a real life alligator in a music video which was mad. There were actually 2 of them, Wendy and Alli G. They were surprisingly pretty chill”.

The past few years have been all gas no breaks for NOISY. Collaborations have been bountiful, from High Contrast remixing ‘24/7’ to releases with the likes of The Prototypes, 1991 and Zero. The music truly comes to life on stage, and the group enjoyed knock out festival slots at the likes of Reading & Leeds (Radio 1s Dance Stage), Mad Cool, Kendal Calling, Neighbourhood Weekend. The group also opened for Mike Skinner ahead of embarking on their UK headline tour which came to London for a sold-out XOYO show. 2023 will see the return of the group’s celebrated club night Fast FWD To Friday, which will come to Brighton’s Prince Albert 13th January 2023. Tickets available November Monday 14th.

NOISY’s touring schedule has been eventful in more ways than one. Last year they made the headlines between shows when their tour van was stolen, along with synthesizers, FX pedals, guitars, amps; the lot. Miraculously, through their own detective work, they managed to track down their stolen goods and reclaimed all of the equipment.

This self-sufficient, DIY mindset is one of the driving forces of NOISY (comprised of singer Cody, guitarist Connor and producer Spencer), who pride themselves on writing, recording and producing all of their own music, designing their own merch, as well as often shooting their own music videos.

So with that in mind, allow us to reintroduce NOISY. Your new favourite band, that sound nothing like a band.
