Depravation Festival, in Swindon, UK  the 3 day powerhouse of uk underground representation with headliners RAGING SPEEDHORN, INFECTED RAIN, EVILE & DISCHARGE has been hard at work creating a project titled `Weirdo, Mosher, Freak`

In aid of The Sophie Lancaster Foundation `Weirdo, Mosher, Freak` is a collection of 17 musicians all due to play Depravation Festival 2024 or involved with Depravation Festival 2024. 7 Additional people from Sound engineers to artists, to videographers totaling 24 individuals, All who have put a great deal of effort into their particular roles within the song. After 6 months of hard work `Weirdo, Mosher, Freak` is finally here.

`Weirdo, Mosher, Freak` has been compared to Road Runner Records 2005 album `Road Runner United`and `Band Aids` 1984 charity single `Do They Know It’s Christmas` With some personal influence from the band `Bang Chamero` Depravation Festivals track `Weirdo, Mosher, Freak` features a band conducted of different bands members, with the most disgusting metal choir ever to be recorded. It’s fast, It’s full on, It’s a complimentary representation of our metal community.

Organiser Martin Camp said “Creating such a large project like this has been an incredible amount of work, but I have loved every minute of it! Seeing the dirty sounding riff I wrote on my old dusty guitar that hasn’t been touched since the first ever Gutlocker gig evolve and grow into what the final version of the track is, It’s incredible! I am over the moon with the work everyone has put into it. I feel proud of what our community is capable of and what we can all achieve together.”

The Sophie Lancaster Foundation is the perfect charity to be at the forefront of this song. The support and representation within the metal community is pinnacle. They hold a very special place in all of our hearts. Creating a track to raise money and awareness for The Sophie Lancaster Foundation was important to Depravation Festival and Organiser Martin Camp.

“Something different had to be organised to show our support to The Sophie Lancaster Foundation, I wanted to create something that told my story and my perception of the hate crimes many alternative individuals have faced. `Weirdo, Mosher, Freak` is a journey that starts with self hatred, a belief that we are all these horrible things. Intrusive thoughts and mental health is an important element within the song. But it ends with a process of acceptance. We ARE `Weirdo, Mosher, Freaks` We are Weirdo, Mosher, Freaks together… We are a community, We have each other’s backs, the music is here for us and it heals us, it helps us, METAL and its community is our medicine! That is what this song is representing”

`Weirdo, Mosher, Freak` is available exclusively from: depravationfestival.bandcamp.com
