Mixing the melodic rush, fiery attitude and relentless energy of pop-punk with the kind of voice and instantly irresistible hooks that powers chart-bound pop stars, Charlotte Sands bridges the space between those two worlds. She’s just as comfortable opening for My Chemical Romance and YUNGBLUD as she is writing an appreciation of Harry Styles’ fashion choices with ‘Dress’, her biggest moment to date which has exceeded 35 million streams and spent ten weeks in the Top 40 on pop radio in the States.  Having just played a series of shows in the UK as guest to PVRIS, including a sold-out EVENTIM Apollo, the next step in Charlotte’s rise is now here as she shares a powerful live performance for ‘Alright’. Filmed in Nashville and directed by Bryant Bural and Noah Tidmore, watch it HERE.

The heart of Charlotte’s creativity comes from channelling her emotions to write songs that people can relate to. Her sonic spectrum spans pop to punk, but there’s no deliberate attempt to delve into both genres – it’s simply the result of the moods which emerge after being unafraid to express whatever is on her mind. As well as My Chemical Romance and YUNGBLUD, it’s a style that has seen her perform with Charlie PuthAva Max and now PVRIS.

Equally influenced by both elements – Bonnie Raitt and Michelle BranchTaking Back Sunday and All Time Low – the first stages of Charlotte’s career were defined by taking every risk she could. She was just eighteen when she stole her mum’s car and set-off on a two-day round trip from Massachusetts to live with a stranger in Nashville. Her plan was that a year in the creative community of Music City would greatly benefit her songwriting before she enrolled at the Berklee College of Music. Instead, her music generated such momentum that the plan was put on hold.

In 2020 her bedroom-based production resulting in seven single releases, opening a first chapter as Charlotte went onto exceed 135 million streams – including tracks with MOD SUNSleeping with SirensUnderoathMokita, Cheat Codes and a triple-threat collab with Taking Back Sunday and The Maine which saw the three artists share the cover of Rock Sound.

Charlotte’s summer touring plans include both legs of the UK’s Slam Dunk FestivalShaky Knees and Hangout Fest in the States, a huge outdoor show in Budapest with Simple Plan, and Germany’s Rock im Park / Rock am Ring festivals. She has previously established an open-minded, inclusive atmosphere during her sold-out North American headline tour, and hit festivals including Bonnaroo, Riot Fest and SXSWDistorted Sound’s review of her Birmingham show with PVRISobserved, “Her energy is electric, as she thrashes around the stage, contorting her body to her songs like she’s powered by the National Grid… She’s got the crowd chomping at the bit, completely eating out of her hands.”
