Internationally acclaimed Belgian shoegazers SLOW CRUSH will be support on Deafheaven’s upcoming UK/Ireland Tour August which runs August 19-25.

The band’s gloomy & dreamy sophomore album ‘Hush’ radiates moonlit warmth through a haze of abrasive whirling layered guitars and soul soothing vocals by front woman Isa Holliday.

With the lull of wistful longing and tranquil bearing, contrasting cascading echoes of beautiful noise, ‘Hush’ surpasses their highly acclaimed debut album ‘Aurora’ in both songwriting and musicianship.

Slow Crush has toured the world over the the last few years, (with bands like Pelican, Torche, Soft Kill, Gouge Away, and on festivals like Furnace Fest, Road Burn, Arctangent, 2000Trees, Groez Rock).

What others have said:

“Slow Crush play true shoegaze in its heaviest form, the way it’s meant to be, the best way. The band’s name goes a good distance toward describing their sound. There is a slowness to this music; a transcendent, diaphanous beauty. However, quite plainly, it will crush you.”- Stereogum

“It’s My Bloody Valentine with a post-hardcore edge, and we love it.”- Guitar World

“Their second album only improves upon the rich textures of their debut, expanding their punkier sound into something heavier, more contemplative…”- Flood Magazine

“Slow Crush are the sound to a beautiful alternate reality”- Kerrang

“a perfect blend of cathedral-ringing guitars buttressing Holliday’s pneumatic, almost aqueous singing voice. Dark, velvety music for even darker death-shrouded times.”- Paste

“The thoughtful introspection and tones of desolate longing found in shoegaze are cross-generational themes, and modern bands like Slow Crush are expertly carrying that ennui-laden torch with an especially adept hand.”- Revolver

“”Lull,” offers up a wonderful contrast between Isa Holliday’s dreamy, airy voice and a wall of heavy guitars.”- Brooklynvegan

“”Hush” is in every way a step up from the already-excellent Aurora; its shimmering melodies are counterpointed by elements of noise and hardcore slotted seamlessly together. Driven by emotion, romanticism and escapism, “Hush” is a captivating listen from start to finish and sees SLOW CRUSH deservedly take their place as one of the finest bands the genre has to offer.”- Distorted Sound

“Reimagining everything you know about Shoegaze…”- Alternative Press

“(Slow Crush) manage to sound simultaneously heavy, soothing, and novel while evading any gimmicky genre-fusions—a modern-day MBV, were Kevin Shields to pen his honeyed tunes solely in fits of rage.”- Time Out

“SLOW CRUSH are leading the way for a new generation off shoegazing”- Slow Tasty Music

“compelling and abrasive heavy ethereal shoegaze…”- Big Takeover

“one of the sickest Shoegaze bands doing it in 2020.”- CvltNation

“Slow Crush are masters of creating dreamy post-punk that holds up under its own weight.”- Everything Is Noise
